Automated carton labeling solutions for warehouse ops.
Edit: apparently I had an old account I was unaware of, this is a re-post on my active account…
Hi there community. I have a business that ships a lot to e-commerce platforms/businesses. We ship in full pallets, but some customers require all cases to be individually labeled. What we currently do is have an admin print labels per PO after the order is picked in the warehouse from a shipping station, then applies the labels to each case on the pallet by hand. The problem is these are mixed pallets with multiple products per pallet. It takes some time to match up the correct label to the correct carton. As we grow, this is becoming more and more inefficient. My question to the community - do you know of (even better, have used/are using) an automated solution? Not ShipStation, something that automates the labeling and is accurate across labeling multiple POs. Think, the order is picked, is there something that say allows the warehouse to load cartons with barcodes by PO onto a conveyor that scans the barcode, knows which product the carton is for, and will properly label the carton with the correct label? Any leads are appreciated. Thanks!

We have a similar issue. We have a homegrown labeling system that doesn’t cut it anymore. Would love to see what others use.
