Real question, where in the bible is it said that being homosexual is a sin?

65

u/XxsunnyDaysxX Oct 01 '22

The only way the Bible says that it’s a sin was a mistranslation they thought it said “ a man shall never lay in bed with another man” when it actually said a man and boy

82

u/thePsychonautDad Oct 01 '22 Giggle

The Catholic Church, who's been laying in bed with boys while bashing gays: "Oops, my bad, looks like we switched things up by mistake"

6

u/Elementia7 Oct 01 '22

The bible gets misinterpreted a lot.

Although that's mostly due to how open natured the book itself is.

6

u/Significant-Trouble6 Oct 01 '22

Wrong. Old Testament in Leviticus and New Testament in Romans chapter 1

25

u/Azeze1 Oct 01 '22

Same part where it says you can't cut your hair, eat shellfish or wear clothing made from two different fabrics but I guess we're skipping those

9

u/Fe4rMeMrWick Oct 01 '22

Guess I'm going to hell then

14

u/JaydotN Oct 01 '22

I mean hey, Hell has Succuby, Heaven just has muscular angels.
Depending on who you ask, thats a win

4

u/hotmemedealer Oct 01 '22

You wore pants with a t shirt? Fucking sinner.

u/IRay2015 Oct 01 '22 edited Oct 01 '22

Who cares lol the Bible also brings up incest regularly. There was also that one guy who cut off 200 foreskins so he could marry a princess. Whatever it says I personally just don’t care, no offense to Christian’s as theres a number of you who are good.

11

u/BrushTrue Oct 01 '22

True enough the Bible is mostly metaphorical but most other Christians take it as the most literal thing in existence

1

u/greatpersonnel Oct 01 '22

Nah only some radical ones

4

u/BrushTrue Oct 01 '22

Sorry I get that mixed up because I live in the Bible Belt we have plenty of radicals down here so I think most of them because that’s what I see a good amount of the time

1

u/Ranting_Gamer Oct 01 '22

And was asked for only 100, might I add

1

u/Perplexin99 Oct 02 '22

It mentions incest because if there are only 10 people on earth they can’t all just die, humans need to populate. Also the bloodline was still pure back then so it wasn’t issue like it would be today.

-6

u/Significant-Trouble6 Oct 01 '22

Hey guys! A heathen on the internet with a little understanding of the Bible says some of us might be good 🎉🎉🎉

1

u/IRay2015 Oct 02 '22

“Some of you”. And according to present opinions that excludes you. I don’t know where you’ve been but some of the shit the these republican Christian’s say and do is just absurd. I try to be understanding but it’s comments like this that make it harder and harder

3

u/danOrochi Oct 01 '22

New testament and old testament midterms you should read the book it's Sci Fi and supernatural themed

2

u/LocalOnyx Oct 01 '22

What version of the bible? Some say it is, some say it isn't.

1

u/Ilunamie Oct 01 '22

Probably interpreted by the events portrayed in Sodom and Ghemorra (if you find a grammar error, you can keep it)

1

u/Khiyeetus Oct 01 '22

It said "If a man lay with another man as he would with a woman, they have created an abomination." Hope this helps a lil bit

1

u/BloodiedBlues Oct 02 '22

But they can’t create anything with butt sex… so it technically isn’t the same way you would lay with a woman no?

1

u/Khiyeetus Oct 02 '22

It is still in that case because you can also have butt sex with women.

1

u/Gamma_Starlight Oct 01 '22

Leviticus, if my memory is correct. But it also says you shouldn't be around near a woman who has her periods, so... 😂

26

u/Dyslexic_Devil Oct 01 '22

I'm surprised the Bible never mentioned Reddit explicitly.

Because Redditors are the worst cunts ever.

19

u/Specific-Committee77 Oct 01 '22

i love that part in bible where jesus catches the disciples watching porn and says it is a sin

16

u/SkilfulLupus Oct 01 '22

You just listed all my best features

3

u/Man_o_passion Oct 01 '22

Unexpected one piece

26

u/Street_Peace_8831 Oct 01 '22

You know what Jesus never did? Harass people.

13

u/TheCorpseOfMarx Oct 01 '22

Actually he overturned a table and chased money counters out of a temple with a whip.

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Oct 01 '22

That was one time, he wasn’t known for doing this.

17

u/TheCorpseOfMarx Oct 01 '22

That was one time

You literally said "you know what Jesus never did?"

-6

u/Street_Peace_8831 Oct 01 '22 edited Oct 02 '22

You consider him getting angry at money changers in the temple an act of harassment?

10

u/TheCorpseOfMarx Oct 01 '22

... You don't think chasing people with a whip is harassing?

-7

u/Street_Peace_8831 Oct 01 '22

All this for a made up story. I don’t even believe in your fairy tale.

5

u/Goat_Lincoln Oct 01 '22

You seem to have a real issue with admitting when you’re wrong there friend-o

2

u/Perplexin99 Oct 02 '22

He was mad because the temple was meant to be a holy place for the people, and by selling animals and having money changers it would be defiling their temple, and not respecting what they considered to be holy.

1

u/DayleD Oct 01 '22

Only because there’s a what, fifteen? year gap where he’s not mentioned at all.

How do you think he came to own a whip in the first place?

Any demigod that whips people he doesn’t like is an antagonist.

1

u/Snekbites Oct 01 '22

bruh, I've seen people take out the shotgun just for invading his lawn, my man Jesus was really justified when people are bringing shit covered bulls to his property and start selling them.

1

u/DayleD Oct 01 '22

His property?

It’s like George Carlin said, the Devine is all powerful, but he needs money.

1

u/wellgroomedmonkeyman Oct 01 '22

If a man sucks one dick....

1

u/Gamma_Starlight Oct 01 '22

... The dick sucks back ?

1

u/user_not-found404 Oct 02 '22

1: He didn't use a whip

2: The shopkeepers were disgracing the holy temple. Imagine you walked home and found someone shitting on your floor. You'd be pretty angry too, and rightfully so.

2

u/Man_o_passion Oct 01 '22

Yeah, I hear he saves his harassments for fig trees

8

u/Ilunamie Oct 01 '22

How are Sorcerer-Druggies even a thing? Too many shrooms?

5

u/Parts_and_Neigbor Oct 01 '22

On the bright side... JC has no beef with the innovators.

4

u/bunnehstew Oct 01 '22

Here I am wondering who the immodest woman is.

10

u/FatherChronos_XC Oct 01 '22

Women who don’t hide their obviously sexual ankles

3

u/wellgroomedmonkeyman Oct 02 '22

That would be me.

3

u/BosTovenaar24 Oct 01 '22

Didn't jesus accept anyone? Or did i just make that up

3

u/nielswijnen Oct 01 '22

Why does Jesus hate wizards

1

u/Pitiful-Meatball Oct 01 '22

Less competition

1

u/wellgroomedmonkeyman Oct 02 '22

Because they get a +2 for Intelligence.

6

u/Theycallme_Jul Oct 01 '22

19 and 20 fits most christians. The Alpha-Jew is coming for his flock too.

1

u/Khiyeetus Oct 01 '22

Not real Christians

2

u/DroidRazer2 Oct 01 '22

Soo, almost everyone

2

u/ConduckKing Oct 01 '22

I can't believe the Bible predicted porn

1

u/Destt2 Oct 01 '22

I mean, porn has existed just about as long as art. A large portion of ancient art we've found, whether it's drawn, carved or sculpted, is pornographic.

1

u/Zealousideal-Tip1260 Oct 01 '22

kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy according to 20. They hate nrs 1-19 and therefore they fall under nr 20.

1

u/profbobo13 Oct 01 '22

According to this list approximately 6-7 billion people.

1

1

u/Spyro08642 Oct 01 '22

So why am I still here then?

1

u/dus_istrue Oct 01 '22

Is it just me or does half of these words sound like they're latin or something, like how do you know what all of these words mean?

1

u/UncensoredCrackhead Oct 01 '22

Didnt the bible also say that jesus knows we can't be completely pure so just have trust in jesus?

1

u/Hahaloler Oct 01 '22

Nobody is commenting on how the first 5 sins, 4 of them related to sex, are 6:9

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '22

1

u/Pitiful-Meatball Oct 01 '22

I am assuming both people

1

u/sonic84638265 Oct 01 '22

Discord mods they could just sit on Jesus and boom he’s dead

1

u/iamdreamin Oct 01 '22

Hey, here in Brazil Jesus was born here, have Jesus been born in another state in USA christianism?

1

u/Lookalikemike Oct 01 '22

If there were any truth to this Washington DC would be a ghost town.

1

u/Evo-Elemental Oct 02 '22

I thought this was gonna be some “when we’re you born” match up thing. Kinda disappointed now

1

u/supercrazestar Oct 02 '22

Ok look idgaf what your religion or beliefs are but you are NOT allowed to say someone else's religions or beliefs are wrong. This applies to both those who are against let's say homosexuality, AND those who say that those who do not support it due to their religions beliefs are immoral. As long as both sides do not harass each other, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

(Before you ask, I am Christian but I couldn't care less about what people want to do in their sexual life)

1

u/adventurouspenis Oct 02 '22

wait? dont you have to be somewhat hypocritical to be a good person?

jesus: extinguishes the human race

1

u/Tungstenkrill Oct 02 '22

I love how sorcerers and druggies are bundled together.

1

u/TornadoXyz6429 Oct 02 '22

number 20 says that Jesus will destroy the kinds of people who make shit like this

1

u/user_not-found404 Oct 02 '22 edited Oct 02 '22

As a Catholic, the Bible teaches that Jesus came to save specifically the sinners.

"The healthy don't need to see a doctor"

Jesus doesn't destroy. He saves. The people who made this don't know what they're talking about, and its people like this that give the faith a bad rep and push people away

edit: There's even a story where a women is caught cheating on her husband, and Jesus saves her by stopping the people from stoning her

1

u/Like-a-Glove90 Oct 02 '22

I read all the answers in the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire"

1

u/Like-a-Glove90 Oct 02 '22

It's odd that whoever made the card forgot to include "Judgemental pricks" in the list.. wonder why..

1

u/DeltaJayHawk Oct 02 '22

Druggy=sorcerer?

1

u/Terrible_Ad_2679 Oct 02 '22
