I'm not starting an argument about anything at all. I commentated on the ridiculous nature of making over simplified statements and mocked the people who did it.
Your inquiry is what began the debate. Again, we're back to you sounding whiney. Please don't feel the need to respond if you're just going to bitch that you were made to feel inadequate because you said something stupid.
And there it is, you are on losing end so you start to insult me as you become more desperate to win the argument (a debate is just another word for an argument by the way) and get in the last word (you are even begging me not to respond).
You even admit the only reason you started this was to play grammar police on my "oversimplified statement" (figure of speech), probably to make yourself feel smart, but how do you feel now I wonder? You call me stupid, but I am pretty sure you are feeling pretty foolish right now.

You didn't argue that it was done for a good reason, or even a needed reason. You said it was done for "no reason" .
Reasons why it could have been changed:
Somebody wanted to change it
Somebody wanted to balance whatever they considered to be a practical economy in the game
The original values were an overlooked typo
The current values are an overlooked typo
Someone rolled some dice to determine what got changed and what it got changed to
A chicken crossed a road
