One of my favorite lines in the movie.

RIP.

8

u/okcdnb Nov 29 '22

The line runs through my head anytime I see something similar.

7

u/The_Gutgrinder Nov 29 '22

It goes through my head whenever I see a quarterback get sacked in an NFL game.

u/JonnyEcho Nov 29 '22

Oh the humanity, the horrorrr.

I think he was also the guy who awkwardly went one verse too long at the bar singing scene.

1

u/MaxiltonHamstappen Nov 29 '22

You've obviously lost that lovin feelin

10

u/vile_the_bastage Nov 29 '22

I think his callsign was Sundown.

29

u/sg3niner Nov 29 '22

He graduated in my dad's class in high school.

u/AnachronistNo1 Nov 29 '22

Really surprised nobody mentioned Matlock yet

Man, I'm feeling old now...

He was damn good in that role too.

So sad, he was my professor at UNLV. Such a kind and caring soul! RIP

2

u/sllh81 Nov 29 '22

What was his area of expertise? The UNLV thing is news to me.

3

u/Leege13 Nov 30 '22

Looked like he was a professor at their school of film.

3

u/kingvick09 Nov 30 '22

He was a film professor, I took his class as an elective just for fun (also because I saw WTR and Die Hard is one of my favorite Xmas movies lol). This was back in 2012-2013ish.

u/LeicaM6guy Nov 30 '22

University of Nevada, Las Vegas. It’s a decent school. As someone who doesn’t drink and doesn’t gamble, it’s one of the better places about Vegas.

14

u/PhillyPhresh Nov 29 '22

Alright, listen up guys. Twas' the night before Christmas, in all through the house, not a creature was stirring EXCEPT the four assholes, coming in the rear in standard two-by-two cover formation

22

u/BigDaddySodaPop Nov 29 '22

He's toast...had to say it. Rest In Piece.

3

u/tiexodus Nov 29 '22

Wait, HE was the quarterback?! RIP my dude.

6

u/StumpHarvey Nov 29 '22

Just watched it again last night and doubled down with Die Hard 2 this evening (wife wanted to crack out the Christmas movies early). Always loved this character. Great comic relief during the SWAT scenes. RIP.

Die Hard is not a Christmas Movie!! lol Come to the Coast hang out have a few laughs …remember it’s not Christmas until Hans Gruber falls from Nakatami Tower …

1

u/glassEyeTaffer Nov 30 '22

Die Hard is the ultimate Christmas movie

1

u/glassEyeTaffer Nov 30 '22

Die Hard is the ultimate Christmas movie

7

u/IrukandjiPirate Nov 29 '22

That’s a shame. He was a talented actor.

6

u/IntegrityDJones Nov 29 '22

Dammit. We watch this every Thanksgiving. I literally just watched this!

6

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '22

Too young. Way too young.

5

u/Hand-Of-Vecna Nov 29 '22

As you get older you see friends and actors die that are a part of your childhood/teenage years. You start comparing their age to your age. It kind of gets depressing. I'm 50 and I start thinking, "Do I have only X more years?"

Carpe Diem.

7

u/dacreativeguy Nov 29 '22

I thought argyle killed him in the parking garage.

11

u/Carteeg_Struve Nov 29 '22

Nope. Just punched him out.

3

u/Carpeteria3000 Nov 29 '22

After ramming into his van

3

u/broduding Nov 29 '22

He was great. Vividly remember his 80s performances.

3

u/ArseOfTheCovenant Nov 29 '22

And the quarterback is toast :(

2

u/EvenHair4706 Nov 29 '22

From the title, I thought he actually taught computer science

2

u/GiddeeeUp Nov 29 '22

Best Christmas movie ever!

RIP

2

u/Sirgolfs Nov 29 '22

A tv/movie star AND a professor. A lot more than I can do! Rip Sir.

2

u/dr4wn_away Nov 29 '22

I’ll miss his sparkling personality

2

u/VisibleAd3180 Nov 29 '22

Who’s that in the background, time travelling Ben Foster?

2

u/Kingalec1 Nov 29 '22

Change the title to "UNLV Professor dies."

1

u/yoshimi710 Nov 29 '22

Die hard bro die hard.

1

u/FattDeez7126 Nov 29 '22

OMG the quarterback is toast !!

1

u/JustineDelarge Nov 29 '22

He said my favorite line from Die Hard, the one that still rattles through my mind all these years later, nearly every morning.

“Oh my god, the quarterback IS toast!”

1

u/SensitiveOrangeWhip Nov 30 '22

he never got caught in Die Hard, did he?
