I came here to read the comments instead of the article and then I uploaded your comment where you upvoted a comment about an article that I didn't read.

I commented on an article I didn’t read

9

u/Arcanas1221 Nov 29 '22

I’m just confused about why this is an article, and why it’s been upvoted at all. 500k isn’t that much? I feel like the headlines are only worth it at a billion views

2

u/mrjowei Nov 29 '22

You could actually write “Yada, yada, yada Kanye” and it would get clicks.

2

u/EngineeringOne1812 Nov 29 '22

They also begin the article by saying, “Kanye West, who formally goes by Ye”.

Man, these journalists are really killing these days.

In his mind every 5 times he blinks is a day. So by that math the month was over.

3

u/Mindtaker Nov 29 '22

Terrance Howard probably taught him about 1X1 equalling 2 and now he has no idea what time is.

26

What the fuck is in his stupid mouth?

20

2

They’ve been getting a lot of great PR lately. /s

Bad dog, what’s in your mouth !?

2

u/thegypsyqueen Nov 29 '22

He had his jaw (and teeth) destroyed in a car accident and swaps out “grills” over the implants

1

Know a lot about herpes? You a big herpes guy, huh?

0

u/elguapo67 Nov 29 '22

Wow. I really hit a nerve with all you herpes sufferers. Sorry about that, herpes militia!

21

u/alanbcox Nov 29 '22

Tim Pool is a putz, too. It’s a whole conclave of dipshits.

7

u/Roboticpoultry Nov 29 '22

Tim Pool pays for a billboard in Chicago right by where I work. I have to see his stupid face every day on my commute

2

u/alanbcox Nov 29 '22

Saw it. I was just home for the holiday.

2

u/BenceBoys Nov 29 '22

That guy is so wildly inconsistent I don’t even know what he is

11

u/Gtk05 Nov 29 '22

Would be more interesting if Kanye had walked out of the interview more than 500,000 times.

2

u/hambeforeclam Nov 29 '22

This made me chuckle

4

u/12345_PIZZA Nov 29 '22

Kanye is hanging out with such losers these days, man. Remember when he used to be cool? Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

2

u/kittenparty69 Nov 29 '22

Dats like da family guy show lmao

14

u/geekmasterflash Nov 29 '22 Wholesome

It's not that he walked out or how many people watched it...it's literally why he walked out. He lost a fragile ego competition to Tim Poole of all people, because he wasn't as openly anti-semitic as he'd like him to be.

3

u/KanyeWestBrick Nov 29 '22

I think there is a good probability that Kanye won’t continue to make news beyond 2024

3

u/Nakagura775 Nov 29 '22

Can we talk about how much Balenciaga is ripping off the fashionista by presenting Walmart clothes as haute couture?

1

u/Ischmetch Nov 29 '22

They’ve got bigger problems right now.

Balenciaga Problems

6

u/Afwife1992 Nov 29 '22

Pool was giddy about having the three on, now he’ll be thrilled at this boosting his profile. Little troll.

5

u/Farrell-Mars Nov 29 '22

Can anyone please enlighten me as to why this individual has any claim to fame at all? When was the last time he contributed anything to the world except disgraceful pranks?

3

u/snoberto77 Nov 29 '22

I fuckin love watching this guy go down

2

u/sharon0842 Nov 29 '22

He looks awful puffy, like he’s takin a couple whacks to the face

2

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '22

Why is this an article?

2

u/KicksYouInTheCrack Nov 29 '22

What is on his lip?!

6

u/Confident_Actuary_98 Nov 29 '22

Blows my mind that this is the same guy that made Jesus Walks

18

u/idontneedjug Nov 29 '22

News flash he didnt make jesus walks rhymefest was the one behind that banger...

7

u/Confident_Actuary_98 Nov 29 '22

Thanks for that news flash lol

17

u/idontneedjug Nov 29 '22

No worries.

At most kanye came up with one of the versus. Rhymefest version had a different second verse, supposedly he helped write kanyes new second verse over the phone though too lol. The bulk of that banger is all rhymefest and even sounded better when rhymefest performed it imo. Kanye got a deal first and rhyme gave him the song and let him released it and took writer credit.

You can really see a lot of rhymefest touch on the early ye work along with lots of chyi the prince taking over as one of the main writers once ye and rhymefest slowly fell out.

For a "genius" he has relied heavily throughout his years on ghost writers. Marvelous producer, great with some one liners through out his career, but the bulk of his work is in reality is stolen valor of other artists propping him up. Part of the dream falling out with roc a fella was jay z and kanye not wanting to give him writing credit for all the work he had been doing for those two on their team ups lol.

When he was doing the ranch antics it was pusha t putting in the work as ghost writer for ye.

6

u/Otternomaly Nov 29 '22

Asking Kanye for money just to pay on my gas bill
He ask me for it back, what’s up with your math skills?

Rhymefest is all time classic

6

u/CharlieBr87 Nov 29 '22

Well now I have no reasons to like Kanye. His earlier works (before 808) were actually good. Now I know why. Off to find rhymefest

5

u/lifer413 Nov 29 '22

Rhymefest also bested a then unknown Eminem at the 97 Scibblejam.

2

u/CharlieBr87 Nov 29 '22

THATS WHY THAT SOUNDED FAMILIAR! I like to think of myself as a lifelong diehard Eminem fan so this is something I should have known! Thanks for the knowledge friend.

6

u/tytorthebarbarian Nov 29 '22

I've said it before and ill say it again, Kanye did has best work making beats for Mos Def and Talib. Everything after that was a dude seeking clout.

2

u/Osceana Nov 29 '22

Oh man, thanks for this write up. Is there a source for any of this? Would love to read this. I’ve always hated Kanye (“before it was cool”). I liked his first album. I’m from Chicago and when his album dropped it was just good vibes, none of this drama and ego. He seemed like a chill dude and I loved Through The Wire, but even with that song, it’s mainly Chaka Khan responsible for it being so good. The beat is cool, but Kanye’s verses could be left off the song and it’d still be as good IMO.

Someone in a separate thread claimed Kanye had ghostwriters and I asked for proof and they never responded.

I’ve always hated this guy and I’ve found his output (admittedly the little I’ve bothered to listen to) inconsistent. Like I said, first album was good. I was forced to finally listen to Runaways and that’s a great song, I hate to admit. I heard Yeezus when it first came out and couldn’t vibe with it. “Poopity scoops” is more recent and obviously bad. He’s definitely gotten worse with time but his fans will claim it’s all good. I cannot stand the blind boosterism of his fans.

So what you’re saying where kinda lines up with how his work has come across to me. I’ve always hated how he will team up with people like Daft Punk and then pretend he discovered them. I have a hard time believing he did most of the work in that collab.

1

u/idontneedjug Nov 30 '22

pretty sure you can just search rhymefest and jesus walks and find him performing the original version on youtube still. Along with googling it will show him credited as writer. Various podcasts and interviews will have discussion on it.

I mean jesus walks being written by rhymefest has never been covered up or hidden. Just as the years have gone kanye gives less credit to his peers.

I'm on chemo rn and feel like shit so I'm not about to google a bunch of stuff for you on a guy, kanye, that I feel is a straight up piece of shit.

2

u/Osceana Nov 30 '22

I'm on chemo rn and feel like shit so I'm not about to google a bunch of stuff for you on a guy, kanye, that I feel is a straight up piece of shit.

Sorry you're going through that, truly. Hope your recovery goes well. I hear you, I only asked you instead of googling because I, too, don't want to bother researching anything about Kanye. I hear enough about him as it is. Godspeed

3

u/dossier11 Nov 29 '22

whoever did his grills needs to be held accountable

2

u/TheHorrorNerd Nov 29 '22

Who cares how many times it was viewed? Sounds like a click bait title strategy.

2

u/ravensmith666 Nov 29 '22

I’ve gone from disinterest to feeling terribly bad for Ye. He may need a conservator.

2

u/KanyeWestBrick Nov 29 '22

I’d actually prefer to see him lose everything

1

u/Osceana Nov 29 '22

Just make me his conservator. I’ll take it all. Two birds with one stone.

1

u/lawyerlyaffectations Nov 29 '22

No “may” about it

1

u/Tricky-Tie3167 Nov 29 '22

Im fed up them feasting on Kanye like vultures.

2

Right…poor Kanye. Lol

-1

u/Wompawompa1 Nov 29 '22

Hey look, the Israeli and Palestinians are killing each other again

1

u/CliffMainsSon Nov 29 '22

If only we never heard about Kanye, Musk or Trump again. So sick of the “news”, it’s not even worth reading anymore

1

u/freetheroux Nov 29 '22

How is a video getting half a million views in anyway news?

1

u/captainvontage801 Nov 29 '22

He does this shit all the time. This isn't new of him at all. He's done this baby walk out freak out shit for years now.

1

u/DEEZLE13 Nov 29 '22

Is that supposed to be a lot?

1

u/levitating_donkey Nov 29 '22

GOD I’m so sick of seeing this man’s face. Why do we still give him the publicity he so desperately begs for? Nobody likes his mild ass rap music anymore so he makes money through publicity stunts and acting unhinged on the teli. Let this idiot retire and stop giving him publicity. Everyone hates him anyways

1

u/BlakeusMaximus Nov 29 '22

Can this guy fuck off already

1

u/LoGiCaL__ Nov 29 '22

All that time wasted by all those people who could have been spending it doing something or learning something that actually mattered.

1

u/kingdazy Nov 29 '22

Honestly, I'm hoping Kanye goes with his '24 run long enough to make a presidential debate. Because that would be high comedy.

1

u/Azer1287 Nov 29 '22

He’s mentally ill. Hope he gets help.

1

u/Gary_Vigoda Nov 29 '22

This is a Newsweek article talking about something absolutely irrelevant. This is what qualifies as journalism? Really. Nice high bar.

1

u/zorbathegrate Nov 30 '22

Why is there no link in the comments?

1

u/junkoblah Nov 30 '22

It’s so fun watching a train wreck in real time. Remember when people were sticking up for him because of his mental health and we shouldn’t be mean to him.

1

u/Chuck1705 Nov 30 '22

Best thing to happen to Dim Tool.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '22

Wow he really is going to be president

-8

u/FizzleShake Nov 29 '22

Music video of jesus walks viewed more than 30M times

-1

u/TheClassyWomanist Nov 29 '22

It’s so interesting that when he was coming for black people, nobody was ready to cancel him.

0

u/GadgetGod1906 Nov 29 '22

I can't stand Kanye but as much as we complain about him we continue to click on stories and videos about him. WE (including me) are feeding the beast
