I came here to read the comments instead of the article and then I uploaded your comment where you upvoted a comment about an article that I didn't read.

I’m just confused about why this is an article, and why it’s been upvoted at all. 500k isn’t that much? I feel like the headlines are only worth it at a billion views

They also begin the article by saying, “Kanye West, who formally goes by Ye”.
Man, these journalists are really killing these days.

In his mind every 5 times he blinks is a day. So by that math the month was over.

Terrance Howard probably taught him about 1X1 equalling 2 and now he has no idea what time is.

He had his jaw (and teeth) destroyed in a car accident and swaps out “grills” over the implants

Tim Pool is a putz, too. It’s a whole conclave of dipshits.

Tim Pool pays for a billboard in Chicago right by where I work. I have to see his stupid face every day on my commute

Would be more interesting if Kanye had walked out of the interview more than 500,000 times.

Kanye is hanging out with such losers these days, man. Remember when he used to be cool? Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

It's not that he walked out or how many people watched it...it's literally why he walked out. He lost a fragile ego competition to Tim Poole of all people, because he wasn't as openly anti-semitic as he'd like him to be.

u/KanyeWestBrick Nov 29 '22
I think there is a good probability that Kanye won’t continue to make news beyond 2024

Can we talk about how much Balenciaga is ripping off the fashionista by presenting Walmart clothes as haute couture?

Pool was giddy about having the three on, now he’ll be thrilled at this boosting his profile. Little troll.

Can anyone please enlighten me as to why this individual has any claim to fame at all? When was the last time he contributed anything to the world except disgraceful pranks?

Blows my mind that this is the same guy that made Jesus Walks
18
u/idontneedjug Nov 29 '22
News flash he didnt make jesus walks rhymefest was the one behind that banger...
7
u/Confident_Actuary_98 Nov 29 '22
Thanks for that news flash lol

u/idontneedjug Nov 29 '22
No worries.
At most kanye came up with one of the versus. Rhymefest version had a different second verse, supposedly he helped write kanyes new second verse over the phone though too lol. The bulk of that banger is all rhymefest and even sounded better when rhymefest performed it imo. Kanye got a deal first and rhyme gave him the song and let him released it and took writer credit.
You can really see a lot of rhymefest touch on the early ye work along with lots of chyi the prince taking over as one of the main writers once ye and rhymefest slowly fell out.
For a "genius" he has relied heavily throughout his years on ghost writers. Marvelous producer, great with some one liners through out his career, but the bulk of his work is in reality is stolen valor of other artists propping him up. Part of the dream falling out with roc a fella was jay z and kanye not wanting to give him writing credit for all the work he had been doing for those two on their team ups lol.
When he was doing the ranch antics it was pusha t putting in the work as ghost writer for ye.

Asking Kanye for money just to pay on my gas bill
He ask me for it back, what’s up with your math skills?Rhymefest is all time classic
6
u/CharlieBr87 Nov 29 '22
Well now I have no reasons to like Kanye. His earlier works (before 808) were actually good. Now I know why. Off to find rhymefest
5
u/lifer413 Nov 29 '22
Rhymefest also bested a then unknown Eminem at the 97 Scibblejam.
2
u/CharlieBr87 Nov 29 '22
THATS WHY THAT SOUNDED FAMILIAR! I like to think of myself as a lifelong diehard Eminem fan so this is something I should have known! Thanks for the knowledge friend.

u/tytorthebarbarian Nov 29 '22
I've said it before and ill say it again, Kanye did has best work making beats for Mos Def and Talib. Everything after that was a dude seeking clout.

Oh man, thanks for this write up. Is there a source for any of this? Would love to read this. I’ve always hated Kanye (“before it was cool”). I liked his first album. I’m from Chicago and when his album dropped it was just good vibes, none of this drama and ego. He seemed like a chill dude and I loved Through The Wire, but even with that song, it’s mainly Chaka Khan responsible for it being so good. The beat is cool, but Kanye’s verses could be left off the song and it’d still be as good IMO.
Someone in a separate thread claimed Kanye had ghostwriters and I asked for proof and they never responded.
I’ve always hated this guy and I’ve found his output (admittedly the little I’ve bothered to listen to) inconsistent. Like I said, first album was good. I was forced to finally listen to Runaways and that’s a great song, I hate to admit. I heard Yeezus when it first came out and couldn’t vibe with it. “Poopity scoops” is more recent and obviously bad. He’s definitely gotten worse with time but his fans will claim it’s all good. I cannot stand the blind boosterism of his fans.
So what you’re saying where kinda lines up with how his work has come across to me. I’ve always hated how he will team up with people like Daft Punk and then pretend he discovered them. I have a hard time believing he did most of the work in that collab.

pretty sure you can just search rhymefest and jesus walks and find him performing the original version on youtube still. Along with googling it will show him credited as writer. Various podcasts and interviews will have discussion on it.
I mean jesus walks being written by rhymefest has never been covered up or hidden. Just as the years have gone kanye gives less credit to his peers.
I'm on chemo rn and feel like shit so I'm not about to google a bunch of stuff for you on a guy, kanye, that I feel is a straight up piece of shit.

Sorry you're going through that, truly. Hope your recovery goes well. I hear you, I only asked you instead of googling because I, too, don't want to bother researching anything about Kanye. I hear enough about him as it is. Godspeed

I’ve gone from disinterest to feeling terribly bad for Ye. He may need a conservator.

GOD I’m so sick of seeing this man’s face. Why do we still give him the publicity he so desperately begs for? Nobody likes his mild ass rap music anymore so he makes money through publicity stunts and acting unhinged on the teli. Let this idiot retire and stop giving him publicity. Everyone hates him anyways

All that time wasted by all those people who could have been spending it doing something or learning something that actually mattered.

u/kingdazy Nov 29 '22
Honestly, I'm hoping Kanye goes with his '24 run long enough to make a presidential debate. Because that would be high comedy.

I can't stand Kanye but as much as we complain about him we continue to click on stories and videos about him. WE (including me) are feeding the beast
