Yeah this was key, she never said the neurologist said masks inhibit oxygen flow. Just that they confirmed a brain needs oxygen. But itās like these guys donāt pay a single bit of attention to their own arguments. Like if the masks donāt work for viral particles, then it doesnāt stop oxygen molecules. But if it blocks oxygen flow then its effective and stopping viral particles. They need to choose which argument theyāre making.

As a nurse, I can assure you that your dad is full of some dumbass bullshit. Itās a condition thatās hard to treat. There was a study, I forget where that showed at surgeons wearing masks for an 8 hour procedure were roughly as oxygen-deprived as a healthy high school senior after doing an easy lap around the track.

Also a nurse, can confirm, I am well oxygenated after 6 hours straight in an N95. Yes. 6 hours straight. For a total of 12 hours. For about 50 hours a week for the last year. And I do this all in a plastic gown and gloves.
ā¦..maybe I do have a hypoxic brain injuryā¦.

He doesn't have a clue how time consuming it is to scrub in and out. I haven't sat in on a lot of surgeries, but I have sat in on enough to know that docs don't take breaks every 15 minutes. Good grief.

Whatās stupid is that doctors wore masks in the 16th century to fend off disease and they didnāt even understand illness very well back then. At least, not like we know now. So people that didnāt really have an understanding of why people get ill were wearing masks, yet, people with access to billions of papers and files on the subject are objecting to the things that keep them safe.
I would say let them do it, let them kill themselves out of ignorance, but the unfortunate thing is that they will be taking out others with them.

I have been fully vaccinated since May. 2 Days ago, when I found out that I had been exposed to someone who tested positive, I put my mask back on and immediately went and got myself tested. It was 100 degrees yesterday and I was miserable in that mask, but I still fucking wore it. I may be perfectly fine if I get it, but I can also spread it to someone who won't be perfectly fine and I'm not okay with that.

My favorite part, is while protecting your god given right to breath oxygen (which you totally can, from the safety of your own home away from others, because being in public is not a right. Itās a privilege) you may be taking away someone elseās ability to breath oxygen. Because they get COVID. And drown in their own secretions.

I don't think anywhere in the US is governed by the Bible, except for maybe the Amish. Cities, states, and countries are governed by laws established by politicians. There are laws that prohibit discrimination against peoples religious beliefs such as not allowing the use of drugs or even getting modern medical help, or even getting a blood transfusion (hospitals ask about it). However, no religion (as far as I know) says that wearing masks is against what you believe in (religiouly). Stop resorting to believing in what a lady says just because she's "famous."
