"What about beating it naturally?" 🇨🇴🇻🇮🇩

u/deadtwitch66 16d ago
I'm so tired of people lying to themselves when they talk about vaccines or anything covid related. And they frame it like they're trying to teach us something... Three years ago these were the same people that were bashing the anti vax community. And as soon as their health deteriorates they start preaching about how great modern medicine is. Well no fucking shit...

And blocking up hospital beds that are needed for people without COVID who got vaccinated but have say cancer. Selfish pricks.

You have terminal cancer that's spread throughout your body? Just beat it naturally, ya pansy. Got in an accident and vomiting blood? Just sleep it off, my guy.

exact same thing is gonna happen when someone asks that question when he’s on a ventilator.
“what about beating it naturally?”
—only ventilator noises—

He’s going to die, naturally.

"Im getting this ventilator of of here,, man. I'm not going to let you turn against your faith in healing naturally. You'll kick this addiction to medical machinery like how I quit smoking."

I’m surprised people in America are so keen to avoid any measures to keep them out of the hospital given how expensive health care is there
6
u/Aspect-of-Death 15d ago
That requires a level of rationality that those people clearly lack. If they had the rationality to make that realization, they wouldn't be refusing a vaccine in the first place.

u/Extremeblarg 15d ago
It makes a disturbing amount of sense, in a really dumb way. We’re conditioned to avoid any form of medical care from the time we’re little because it will break us. We lose all of our money, it can ruin your family, even your mind from the stress of it all. It can and has gotten to the point where people have committed suicide over a medical bill. So when we’re told that we have to go to the clinic or hospital to get a shot of a medication we’re unfamiliar with, a bunch of red flags go up. We’re bred to expect some shyamalan style twist where we lose everything, so why would we risk it?
For the record I am in no way against vaccines, I’ve gotten both my shots and I’ll be first in line for any boosters that may be required, just pointing out how fundamentally broken the US system is

I have no idea why so many stupid Trump supporters are refusing to take the vaccine. Trump was literally telling everyone to get vaccinated before Biden and Harris got on board.
It makes no sense.

he only did that at the end. Before that COVID was a joke, didn't exist, it wasn't that bad, it's China's fault, it will be over before summer, it's the Libs fault

Do hospitals have the power to enact a priority admissions list?
If yes then severity of illnesses like cancer and other life-threatening diseases, gunshot injuries and other potentially fatal injuries, non-lethal injuries, minor flu and probable complications from vaccines and Covid-19 after complete vaccination all should be on the top (there can be other priorities), then comes Covid-19 after partial vaccination, and at the end of the list should be Covid victims who are not vaccinated. The last tier should be able to climb up the charts after paying out a hefty price (that should not be covered by insurance). Why should other people who vaccinated be punished for the actions (or inaction) of non-vaccinated population?
Of course I'm suggesting this for a place that can acquire vaccines with ease. Might take a different approach for places where vaccines are not so easily accessible.

I remember reading online somewhere (so who knows how accurate it is) that Germany isn’t providing free COVID testing to people who have had access to the vaccine. It’s super unlikely but I would love to see an extra fee or something given how much unnecessary added strain these people are putting on the hospital system. Call it surge pricing.

I can’t begin to imagine the frustration of doctors when these people demand help. They provided the most effective help but you chose to reject it. You ignore all medical advice until you start literally dying and then you suddenly beg for as much medical advice as you can get. At least have some consistency. Either follow medical advice or don’t. The hypocrisy is lamentable and isn’t just isolated to Covid. I’ll bet almost all of these believe in cutting unemployment benefits, until they’re unemployed, sickness benefits - until they get sick, are anti-gay rights - until their child comes out etc etc

What I really don't get is Trump took the vaccine! It was created under his administration and he took the vaccine! How does refusing to take it somehow prove your MAGA credentials when then head of a whole movement took the freaking vaccine?!?!
5
u/TehJohnny 15d ago
Well, Trump isn't the President now, Biden is, so in their heads it is Biden's vaccine. These people can't see past their own nose. They're idiots. Willfully ignorant because their political beliefs are their entire identity.

u/X21shaun123 15d ago
I support the movement to ban people who have access to the vaccine and refuse it from going to hospitals once they get it.
Edit: by "it" I mean Covid

Well that's because these individuals are, above all, selfish. They are not patriots, they are not freedom fighters; they are petulant, egocentric children. They want to have all of the privileges of living in modern society with none of their responsibility.
Their mentality is that of a drunk driver; "Why should I drive sober? It's my choice; your seatbelt and airbags work, right?". It is the opposite of personal responsibility; these imbeciles expect the rest of society to pick up their slack.
And a whole lot of them voted for the orange warthog. Twice. Because he is the incarnation of that selfish, arrogant, ignorant, vapid "Got mine, fuck you" conservative mentality. They don't care about anything until it happens to them.

They believe in modern medicine, but not "modern medicine" like mRNA vaccines. I prescribe bootstraps and leeches.

u/Ballzinferno 15d ago
Yup, that's cognitive dissonance. Republicans pull that shit a lot. Make a good point or ask a simple question and poof they vanish.....Yet when you come across them again they're carrying on and saying all the same dumb shit you were correcting them on earlier. Cognitive dissonance.

u/Consistent_Ring_4218 16d ago
What he really meant is "I'm just gonna beat it, naturally. " it's all about the punctuation.

All these anti vaxxers who won’t get the shot and refuse to listen to medical professionals telling them it’s for their and every else’s best interest need to keep their fucking asses at home if they get sick. If you don’t listen to docs now don’t go crying to the hospital doctors, keep your ass home and die like the selfish fucks you are.

Back in 2017 I tried to beat the flu "naturally" (i.e. no flu shot). Got the flu. Ended up in a pool of my own lung jelly unconscious convulsing.
I may hold unpopular viewpoints about COVID (not that I'm a Karen about it, mind you) but I got the shot anyway. The last time I was stubborn nearly killed me.

I don't understand. Wasn't the vaccination plan implemented by trump or his staff?? What does being a trump supporter have anything to do with not wanting to be vaccinated?
-14
u/sc0n3z 16d ago
Except this didn't actually happen.
12
u/agrapeana 16d ago
The fact that hospitals in a number of red states are overrun and begging for federal assistance to provide staff and facilities and machines is a pretty good indicator that exactly this is happening on a wide scale.
-14
u/Thonas1234 16d ago
Why do people always have to add “Trump supporter” before a story? Is there a hidden joke?
11
u/agrapeana 16d ago
Because the overwhelming majority of anti-science dipshits that are perpetuating the spread of covid by refusing to take a free vaccine during a pandemic are mouth breathing morons who decided to listen to a racist gameshow host instead of the global scientific community.

I think people who are not getting the vaccine simply don't trust the government
3
u/Jingurei 15d ago
Then why are they following the advice of the one they put at the helm of the government?
1
u/brado8236 15d ago
They need to get their excuses in order. Out of one side of their mouths, they’ll say they don’t trust the government. Out of the other side of their mouths, they’ll say they won’t get vaccinated because the FDA hasn’t approved it yet.
So which is it? If you distrust the government so much, why are you waiting for the same government to wave a magic wand and deem the vaccine safe?
