What do you do that you earn six figures?

It seems like a lot of people make a lot of money and it seems like I’m missing out on something. So those of you that do, whats your occupation that pays so well?

How did you get into this / how did you find an entry level position?

You gotta start as an analyst somewhere in data with an aggregator (IRI, Euromonitor, Nielsen, Kantar) or with a CPG company that utilizes data aggregation or customer level data feeds.

That will put you between $50-70k USD. A few raises and a jump to “manager” title with 3-5 years, you’re right at $100k

It's interesting to see someone from my field in this thread. Im in europe, and market researchers / market research consultants are notoriously underpaid and overworked. I'm making ~45kUSD with a masters degree in a high COL area and it's enough for a comfy lifestyle because I have a cheap apartment and no car. It is not enough to ever realistically be able to afford a house around here.

I live in a high COL area in the US (Boston) and it's not enough to be able to realistically afford a house here on just that income either, although I can afford a car.

How many years of experience did it take?
