What do you do that you earn six figures?

It seems like a lot of people make a lot of money and it seems like I’m missing out on something. So those of you that do, whats your occupation that pays so well?

My SO is considering this. Any good companies to recommend? Are there are lots of hidden expenses that we need to know about?

Its really about what you put into it, that you'll get out of it. As a new driver, don't sign anything thats a lease. You'll be paying for all your own fuel tires etc. Personally I had a great experience starting out with Schneider. I was over the road for the first years but I learned alot. Now I drive ltl over nights and home daily.

Fuel, tires, tolls, insurance, permits, inspections, regular maintenance on the vehicle, food, sometimes a hotel unless you like to sleep at truck stops.

You can write a lot off. I'm a mover and write off a shit ton if my expenses. Labor is biggest expense, second is fuel.

If he's just hauling a dry van bumping docks then he doesn't have to worry about labor. Freight is paying great right now.

I had to scroll down way too far to find truck driver. I drive for a union company, top 50 of Fortune 500. 120K plus free health, vision, and dental for my whole family. Home every day and off on weekends.

Im gonna do that too, i have it easier cause my dad has a small firm (himself and 2 other guys). The pay is crazy good, out of boredom i was driving with my dad through the whole july and he's been doing construction deliveries for 2.5k pln a day which is like half of average monthly salary here in poland. Im starting doing my driving license for big vehicles and i'll be probably driving regionally through the next holiday season, cause i want to finish uni first.
