What do you do that you earn six figures?

It seems like a lot of people make a lot of money and it seems like I’m missing out on something. So those of you that do, whats your occupation that pays so well?

I used to make six figures not so legally. Now I’m trying to put the skills I developed into something legitimate.

Ah, the old illegal prostitute to lawyer route

u/Lemonyclouds 9d ago

Prostitution is still illegal? Huh. I always thought they’d outlawed patronizing prostitutes but not the act of being one.

That is the case in Sweden and perhaps a couple of other Scandinavian countries.

Haha with a username like that I’m afraid to ask any questions or I’ll be swimming with the fishies.

lol, I would be too. I know drugs makes around or under minimum wage for most people1, so it's most likely out. I believe prostitution rings are the same way, so it's also most likely out. My guess is import export of some sort. You can make a lot arbitraging price differences between markets, but doing so is a regulatory nightmare, so doing it illegally is much easier and can make big bucks. Bonus points if it's international drug transit, or similar to Lord Of War. Minus points if it is human trafficking..

1 I know there are outliers.

Uhh, ya no. Straight up untrue. Where are you getting that information? Lol selling drugs ALWAYS makes good money, unless you get high on your own supply or something lol. That's specifically why people risk everything to sell them. The "outliers" would be those doing a far riskier job with far less benefits and far bigger consequences for less pay than just getting a legit job. I'm just saying, I have NEVER heard of a drug dealer that doesn't make good money. I make some pretty crazy money, just selling weed, have for close to a decade, and there's nothing but exponential profit in harder drugs (but fuck that, I'm not risking that shit)

I know the numbers and can estimate it. The average person who sells drugs sells to 15-40 people. The average person who sells drugs ups the price from $1 to $5 for each person they sell to. The average person who sells drugs does not sell to people every week, but less frequently. The average person who sells drugs does it as a side job because it does not pay the bills.

The exception is lab made drugs. From lab to street there is often a 1000x markup, but most drug dealers do not buy in bulk from a lab and if they are, they're almost always buying overseas, which goes back into the import export bit above.

You... Clearly know literally nothing about this 😂 youve obviously never done it, and you're simply wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️ you must not know any drug dealers lol cuz I don't know a single drug dealer that has another job, you'd be unavailable to customers constantly and would lose SO much business that way. Are you thinking of your experience with like, high school pot dealers? Lol cuz that makes sense. I see anywhere from 15-30 people every day. My worst day in the last few months I saw 12, my best was 48. I see most clients every week or more often. My weed guy sees about 8 a day (he's obviously the guy selling larger amounts). I have some clients I see twice a day. They send their friends etc etc. You go to a party you bring a bunch of shit, it always ends up bought. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and are making completely wild guesses. If you are a drug dealer with 15 total customers lmao, you're not a drug dealer you're just a guy that picks up weed and sells it to his friends for cheap. And your price up and that you're talking about? Hahaha dude wtf lol, you are actually clueless 😂 why do you think you know ANYTHING about this lollll. Yeah you're totally right I buy $1500 worth of weed and sell it for $1505 bahahaha. You're wrong buddy, I know that you think you're right and I can't understand why when you clearly aren't in this industry lmao, I don't know why you think you "know" the numbers and can guess bahahaha but you look stupid af right now. My weed works out to like $16 per quarter, and I sell a quarter for 60-70 (50 to long time clients and friends), and I move several pounds a week, generally in small sales which is max profit. So there's a better idea for you 😂 (EDITED: had to change a number after doing some math)

You should seriously consider watching out. This is how people end up in prison.

I know the averages because out here drugs are legal (deregulated) so people who work in the industry come forth with stories of what it was like before they could sell openly. It's quite fascinating.

If this person is an actual dealer, which from their posting, isn’t likely, especially how nonsensical they’re going on about it. Then they’re a dealer getting high on their own supply, which means they won’t be one for long. Either way, this person isn’t very bright, and is extremely immature. Just saw that you’re a fellow bunny, thought I’d say hi!

Uhh... Ya no. Lmao gonna have to call you on that one as well 😂😂😂 there's no way for anyone to know if I'm some neckbeard sitting in my mom's basement making shit up or what, lmao, no there are not US cops watching an international accessible chat-style website with millions upon millions of users, to see if deep in a post about finances, someone from another country than the US are talking about selling something that's legal in their country 😂😂😂 are you a high school kid? You are aren't you lol. So anyways, way to skirt all the things I said and points I made, and not retract your ridiculous statement lmao, you're an idiot. Edit: you edited the comment after I replied, classy lol. You're absolutely 100% lying. You do not know those people, those are not the averages, you're lying. It's very obvious for anyone who's not literally a child lol you should be super embarrassed. I know I'm embarassed for you lol

u/proverbialbunny 9d ago

How old are you?

-5

u/Zealousideal_Job_437 9d ago edited 9d ago

"No, you!!", the number one playground comeback lol wow really playing into actual child stereotypes now lolll, I'm asking for a relevant reason, that pertains to my side of the argument, you're asking cuz you have no other reply, comeback, argument, or relevant points 🤷🏼‍♀️ Way to once again ignore all relevant points and change the subject, refuse to acknowledge how very wrong you are, and yet somehow still feel totally entitled to me replying to your points you're making, but, at least you proved me right. I literally guessed an anonymous internet stranger's age, after just a few short messages, based on just how absolutely stupid their replies are... that's embarassing. I just keep picturing you thinking that that was such a mic drop reply just now and can't help but laugh out loud lmao. Look at you, just on Reddit late at night, pretending you know anything about anything at all, let alone, EVERYTHING about this one very complicated world you know nothing about bahahah, so cute. /r/confidentlywrong

Ewww emojis on Reddit; clearly you’re new. also, punctuation - try it.

-1

u/Zealousideal_Job_437 9d ago edited 8d ago

Ca-can you not see all that punctuation all over the place...? Are you ok? Lol I honestly feel like I used too much! Wait, are you sure you are using the right word? Lmao that's cute, you can always spot a bandwagon reddit jumper when they've been on Reddit for a couple years, coincidentally around the time it got extremely popular and mainstream, and think that they know Reddit was "never" a place for emojis. Little do you know that random and unnecessary idea just popped up within the last cpl years, the 10-12 or so years before that, you know, back when Reddit got famous for a good reason, they were used commonly and regularly, because it obviously helps portray tone through text better 😂 but sure let's do something that makes communication even harder over text, on a text based communication website lol you guys are fucking stupid 😂 like, that's not even an opinion, that's a fact: you do illogical, pointless things for no reason whatsoever, because some random anonymous person online told you once that they didn't like it and that it "never" happened and you believed it lmao, therefore your stupidity is actually fact in this case lollll and you can't even argue it. Hilarious

Imagine getting all that exposure and thinking it’s a good thing lol if you’re trying to sell where it isn’t legal you’re taking on a whole mess of risk. Any big weight plug I’ve ever known tries to limit who they deal with, insulating themselves from dopes like you who play it fast and loose.

a quarter for 60-70

thats so cheap tho we pay 10 euro per gram here in germany .-.

3

u/icantlurkanymore 9d ago

A quarter for 70 is 10 per gram

1

u/ruminajaali 9d ago

Every drug dealer I’ve known and still know make very good money

1

u/LlamasCSGO 9d ago

Yeah, I've got friends running their own hydroponics and are making VERY decent money.

1

u/onehundredbuttholes 8d ago

Yeah, I work for a grower, I just grow weed all day and get a cut of the harvest. Sometimes I’m making 2000 a month, sometimes I make almost 6000 a month. It’s a real feast or famine, but the good harvests make up for the shitty ones.

1

u/HelpfulBuilder 9d ago

Those people selling dope on the corner are broke as fuck. All the money they make goes up the chain to their gang heads. You're thinking about white-collar independent drug dealers. They make good money.

2

u/ChrLagardesBoyToy 9d ago

I mean the main weed guy in my high school made a few hundred a week, which was almost fulltime minimum wage for a few hours a day. If you’ve got a clientele that actually has money and you’re not selling to just 30 people in total I’m sure you can make good money. Like maybe 50 per hour and no taxes.

1

u/HelpfulBuilder 9d ago

Sure, independent drug dealers can make decent money for low work. My point was that there were lots of people that sell drugs but make very little, specifically people in gangs selling dope. All the profits of those enterprises rise to the top. Those drug dealers make something close to minimum wage, risk prison, and even death.

I was responding to Zealousideal being like "selling drugs ALWAYS makes money", which is not true. People that sell drugs in a gang don't make very much unless they are high ranking.

1

u/ohbenito 9d ago

if you arent at least doubling your money on each move you are doing something very wrong.
