A note about Hogwarts Legacy from the /r/gaming team
Hey gang,
You may have noticed that /r/gaming doesn't have discussion of Hogwarts Legacy, despite it being one of the most talked about games of the year. This is by design.
After seeing how virtually every thread about the game in the run-up to launch swiftly devolved into a debate on the franchise creator's personal views which run contrary to Rule 9 of /r/gaming, the moderator team has come to the conclusion that we are unable to provide a platform for discussion of this game while remaining an inclusive community.
Should you be interested in discussion of the game, /r/harrypottergame is a great spot for you.

Found an old T-Shirt. It won't be long before some gamers won't get this reference.

Does finishing a game make anyone else sad, or am I just weird?
I feel like it's just me being weird, but when I finish a game, it makes me sad.
The world I was immersing myself into, the characters I'd gotten to know, the game I was connecting with -- it all just ends, barring sequels or expansions. You could replay the game, but then there's no sense of adventure, you don't gradually get to know the characters, the world isn't a mystery, it just isn't the same.
Like I often find myself restarting games, just so I don't get to the end, or I'll catch myself just subconsciously start avoiding a game when I know I'm getting near the end or if I'm going through it too fast.
Does anyone else get this?
