Remaining foreign militaries in Afghanistan. Question

There is still some foreign militaries in Afghanistan that do not seem like they are planning to leave anytime soon as far as I know. Turkey Greece and Azerbaijan are the once’s that I know of. Why do you guys think that is and what kind of consequences do you think that will have? And what is their reason for staying when almost everyone else has already left and is in the process of leaving?

(New to Reddit so this might not be done in the right way.)

Turkey and Azerbaijan have dreams of a Pan-Turk union. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and most of the Central Asian countries have significant Turkish culture and ethnicity.

Also the last time there was refugee crisis, Turkey and Greece ended up having to deal with the majority of them.

I am unaware of why Turkey, Azerbaijan and Greece would have a military presence remain in Afghanistan however and have not heard of any such news.

After Biden gave Erdo the cold shoulder for 6 months, he got Turkey to go into Afghanistan in the June summit, to protect the airport, not knowing how quickly it would fall. He may have also bribed Erdo to take the brunt of the refugee crisis from the country.

Turkey is a big boy. It doesn't take orders from the US. They just share interests

Can you provide a source? I seriously doubt that Greece, Azerbaijani or Turkish military are planning to stay and why would the Taliban let them?

I didn’t really see any news articles about which countries still have troops there since the media doesn’t care to cover it but here is the video I saw it from and correct me if I’m wrong. https://youtu.be/Y9N6L5mT9W8

OP where are you sourcing the troops status info from?

From a video on YouTuber who is reliable and unbiased. I don’t remember what it was called but it was a map of the Taliban taking control of district? In Afghanistan. And it also showed the countries that still had troops there.

The YouTuber who posted the video was known for making videos on things like this.

Justin Trudeau the prime Minister of Canada has stated that they will not withdraw. And will stay for a while longer, I am not sure if this statement will be followed or ignored.

Justin Trudeau has very little understanding of affairs outside the borders of Canada. Furthermore, Canada did not have or bring forth the capability to keep their temporary troop deployment at the airport longer.

Nothing that Trudeau says should be taken at face value given his track record.
