Man, birds come off as docile, tame creatures but Reddit has really exposed them for the psychopaths they really are. Pecking deformed babies, stealing nests and murdering babies, stealing money in return for food…they don’t give a fuck.

How can he even breath?

The other seagull was probably like: "no, man, this feels wrong, don't do it, man"

And he was like "I'M NEVER GONNA BE HUNGRY EVER AGAIN!"

So other guy just went away, ashamed... And bunny eater kinda looked ashamed, too, afterwards...

u/Iron-Lotus Jul 21 '21

That seagull is going to take a massive shit

u/cysc83 Jul 21 '21

Birds are pretty terrifying and brutal, not to mention they can attack from above. Thankfully they aren't big enough to eat us.

2

u/Dillon_Berkley Jul 21 '21

Isn't there an extinct Eagle species that was big enough to prey on humans?

3

u/AntiMatterAMA Jul 21 '21

there's also several ostrich-sized carnivorous birds - search up "terror bird"

btw, you're probably talking about the Haast's eagle - of which exists a mythological creature

2

u/joshwagstaff13 Jul 21 '21

Yep. Haast’s Eagle. Went extinct sometime around the 1400s, due to its prey (Moa) being hunted to extinction.

2

u/TheZenKitten Jul 21 '21

Vultures would like to have a word with you

u/Onepride91 Jul 21 '21

It’s funny to compare the size of the seagull right before and after he downs that thing. He is almost scraping the ground afterwards lol

I wanted to see it trying to fly.

4

u/filthy-toast Jul 21 '21

Oh fuck. I feel both impressed and terrified

2

u/Sandpaper_Pants Jul 21 '21

This is horrifying. At first, I thought it was just going to pick it apart; I mean, it's like a human swallowing a German shepherd whole.
WTF?

2

u/fakeittilyoumakeit Jul 21 '21

I baby german Sheppard maybe. Have you never seen a German Sheppard in person? They're huge!

2

u/saltysamon Jul 21 '21

So can a seagull digest it all like bone and everything? Wonder if that thing can even still fly.

2

u/Yosonimbored Jul 21 '21

There’s also videos of them eating pigeons whole

1

u/timmmeeeeeeeeeehhhhh Jul 21 '21

I thought that was pelicans. All the videos I've seen of gulls preying on pigeons is the gull tearing the pigeon apart.

3

u/chickenpolitik Jul 21 '21

Do they eat them after? Oh my god

2

u/netheroth Jul 21 '21

Holy shit, that was the mice version of Jurassic Park.

2

u/MiaTeo Jul 21 '21

Jeeze. I didn't know they did that. I thought they mostly ate like grains or something.

3

u/konnie-chung Jul 21 '21

Almost every animal will supplement its diet with protein from other animals, even deer and horses eat baby birds

1

u/WritingTheRongs Jul 21 '21

You saved me from the horror of having to search for this

1

u/LegendOfKhaos Jul 21 '21

If chickens were 10 feet tall, would humans be hunted to extinction?

34

u/texasrigger Jul 21 '21

I'm a backyard bird enthusiast and yes birds are really hard-core. You can definitely see how the dinosaurs must have been. They are also surprisingly emotional depending on the species. I think that's been my biggest surprise from dealing with them over the years.

19

u/Jniuzz Jul 21 '21

Nature is metal bro

32

u/EpidemicRage Jul 21 '21

Well, its called pecking order for a reason. Just like us humans, they need to pick on one unfortunate chicken.

10

u/ohsnapitsAntman Jul 21 '21

You forgot the rape. Ducks rape ducks.

2

u/AntiMatterAMA Jul 21 '21

and their anatomy is geared for it - very unfortunate imo

18

u/RobinTheKing Jul 21 '21

Pecking deformed babies, stealing nests and murdering babies, stealing money in return for food…they don’t give a fuck.

hmmmm... really reminds me of another species, can't put my finger on it

13

u/DeathPercept10n Jul 21 '21

I hate it when people peck deformed babies and steal nests.

4

u/TheRealSamHyde999 Jul 21 '21

you stole my nest! give it back!

1

u/DesignasaurusFlex Jul 21 '21

You laugh but mental institutions used to be exactly that and have you heard of the trail of tears?

8

u/iAmUnintelligible Jul 21 '21

Oh oh I know I know!

It's frogs, right?

1

u/CozImDirty Jul 21 '21

It’s all of them

1

u/badchriss Jul 21 '21

Huh, so THAT'S what they mean when someone says "suck my pecker". Bit weird but okay....someone down for suckling on someone's nose?👃

2

u/VyRe40 Jul 21 '21

They're all just tiny dinosaurs after all.

1

u/sickvici0us Jul 21 '21

Process of natural selection, to progress as a species. Humans are the only ones that don't.

1

u/AntiMatterAMA Jul 21 '21

there are more than enough animal species that still care for crippled young

1

u/annonymous-moose Jul 21 '21

I once watched my flock of hens form a single file line and take turns grabbing chunks of meat off a coyote that my brother had shot. They will also ruthlessly fight over worms, grasshoppers, if you find a juicy bug you run

1

u/ClintonKelly87 Jul 21 '21

If you've played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you'll know that chickens are vicious bastards.

1

u/v-23 Jul 21 '21

Why I eat chickens? Do I like the taste?

Do I like how easy they are to cook?

No. I eat them purely out of spite.

1

u/ThatSquareChick Jul 21 '21

Birds are just new dinosaurs, they’ve been around for longer than just about anything that’s living today (dude birds are old af)… I would think that after several millennia that anyone would completely stop giving a fuck. Besides, if you want your kind to survive, especially back in the day before humans started fuckin shit up, you HAD to be a complete psychopath. You basically had to be a murderhobo.

That’s why the perceived cruelty of birds doesn’t surprise my anymore. That flamingo pecking it’s chick to death because it has a dark mark on its wing just doesn’t give any fucks, it can make more. Birds are scary and dope.

1

u/ajas_seal Jul 21 '21

Chickens also sometimes just eat their offspring if they don’t like them

0

u/ditwane Jul 21 '21

Dude, birds aren't real. I thought reddit already taught you that.

0

u/BlueCollarGuru Jul 21 '21

Sounds like humans tbf
