You fired someone on the basis of their religion?

I work at a religious boarding school. Everyone does duty and that includes some weekends. Not working on Sunday is not doing some of the basic requirements of your job.

Also being a religious organization, we have weird rules. Like if you live on campus you can't live with your significant other unless you are married. Bunking up with your girl/boyfriend will get you canned, or at least booted from campus without a pay raise to compensate for having to pay rent.

It's a relatively liberal place (we had a gay marriage on campus the day it became legal in our state) but if you work here things like attending chapel is a job requirement. Which is funny considering the amount of us who are atheists...
