My cat shed her winter coat last month and my dumb ass forgot cats did that so I’m sitting around wondering why my cat shrank uniformly

There is such a drastic difference in the two costs especially the length of the ruff.

What I assume is the winter coat (the right?) definitely looks fluffier. I’m assuming the color difference is because of lighting, though.

Yes, the one on the right is the winter coat. His ruff is longer and his coat is much more dense. The color doesn’t change, just the lighting of the pics.

I have 6 cats, non mainecoon. Jeez, the amount of fur in my house. I'm a frequent hooverer anyway but now I'm doubling up my efforts.

Love you Bigelow 😍

So… Bigelow with winter coat on right, right?

Why does my Maine Coon have her coat the opposite way?

Good question, not sure, but he bulks up in the winter and thins out in the late spring/summer
