Also adding “I understand that Kawhi has to look out for Kawhi… but at some level there has to be a partnership with the team.”

I’m sure the Clips still want to contend whether or not Kawhi comes back form injury so I bet they would’ve used that exception.

Wonder what Kawhi’s motivation is for not extending and waiting this long to sign.

He’s a bit different from a superstar standpoint as he doesn’t seem to care at all about his “brand” and makes the moves best for him regardless of how it affects the team. I think people have more respect for that and the coldness of his decisions even if it can be shitty at times.
