I'm 100% for taking the vaccine however I'm not disillusioned by the fact that we will not prevent deaths even when everyone is vaccinated. We are dealing with about 350M people.
The vaccination is not 99% effective. Studies show that it is anywhere between 77% to 97% effective. There has only been 1 study out of the many listed by the CDC that has claimed 99%.
Additionally, the vaccine is far below 99% effective at preventing transmission with it being anywhere between 60% to 90% effective.
