Made of cheap parts? Check.
There appears to be an entirely useless microcontroller in there.
40 u/ACCount82 26d ago You need a charge controller to charge and use a lithium battery safely. 8 u/TheLastDabSauce 26d ago Plenty of microcontroller are still super cheap. 5 u/RFLSHRMNRLTR 26d ago Yea a board like that can be as little as $1.30 probably less if you buy large quantities 5 u/meltingdiamond 26d ago I still find it fucked up that the lightning cord has a micro in it. It just feels wrong. 3 u/LowB0b 26d ago This one the tiktok video is showing I can understand why there's a microcontroller in there, since it's easier to buy those than it is to buy just 1 chip purposefully made to control 2 motors. For a large batch, yeah doesn't make sense 1 u/kaihatsusha 26d ago Some microcontrollers are well below a buck, even at single quantities. 1 u/grmpy 26d ago There appears to be an entirely useless microcontroller in there. I mean it's 2021. It's gotta connect to Wi-Fi, right? 1 u/sketchreey 26d ago im pretty sure that is a TP4056
