I don’t know what you guys are saying, the J. stands for Jenius!

There's a gif joke in here somewhere

u/MaximumSubtlety 15d ago

Mitch Hedberg, rip.

9

u/starkeffect 15d ago

This shirt is dry clean only, which means it's dirty!

5

u/TwoWayTony 15d ago

I guess this is a hedberg quote, but I don't get it. Can you explain it for me?

7

u/starkeffect 15d ago

He's too lazy to go to a dry cleaner.

1

u/TwoWayTony 15d ago

Haha ok, I was thinking too deep:

It is dry clean only, i.e. it's always wet when it's dirty? But I guess it wasn't wet when he delivered that line.

Feel stupid now, but thanks for clearing that up

Escalator temporarily stairs. Sorry for the convenience.

2

u/IHaveSpecialEyes 15d ago

See, now Trump would be blocking a fire exit because --if there was a fire-- he'd be too stupid to use it. Mitch was wrong, just being flammable and having legs is not enough to never be blocking a fire exit.

u/jodax00 15d ago

Smacky the Frog for President 2024!

Because bears can be mean, but frogs are always cool

RIP Mitch

Cant wait for the 2024 election 🥲

u/GenerationNerd 15d ago

And so he shall ever be.

u/metalgtr84 15d ago

He actually believed that your body had a finite amount of exercise it could do over the course of your life and if you used it all up you died.

19

u/PM_me_storm_drains 15d ago

It's about a billion heartbeats.

21

u/prime1309 15d ago

Makes sense if you do the math.

Average beats per minute is 60-100, taking 60 bpm so 1 beat per second.

A billion seconds is roughly 31 years.

So in conclusion, and as everyone knows, there has never ever been anyone older than 32 years old in recorded history.

12

u/BannedSoHereIAm 15d ago

Nah doofus. They’re referring to this.

The people who exercise the most, have a lower average resting heart beat per minute, so it averages out about the same, except they have a higher quality of life, quality of sleep, etc.

I suspect Trump heard about this phenomenon, but his idiot brain couldn’t understand it, so he just assumed that less exercise = longer life.

4

u/prime1309 15d ago

I agree with you, it felt like one of those things where someone doesn't want to do X and then hear something vaguely related and go "perfect that means I don't have to..." while clearly not understanding, or caring, what the real context is.

Delusion, I think it's called.

1

u/glimpee 15d ago

Oh fuck. Ive always had a really high resting heart rate. Shit.

1

u/NegligentLawnmowcide 15d ago edited 15d ago

But that would be skipping the nuance of fight-or-flight events and the drop during sleep which is where you should spend an average of a third of your time alive.

I've also heard it as a number bigger than a billion, more like 5 billion, and its for mammals minus naked mole rats and not other animals and I think that's because the others never achieve such high mileage on that muscle.

quickedit: im not agreeing with trump with this assertation, I'm simply remembering what probably spawned that chinese whisper game of a interpretation. I think you'll on average have that many heartbeats at the average lifespan we reach, i guess 70, regardless of if you're a marathon runner or an olympic swimmer swimming the open ocean, your circulatory system will become more efficient as you become more athletic. So by not exercising you are actually doing more damage than exercising especially relative to long durations of time because you need more effort and therefore heartbeats to compensate if you're out of shape where when you're more athletic it only needs a fraction of the effort.

2

u/prime1309 15d ago

I wasn't doing actual (or serious) maths, but u/BannedSoHereIAm replied to me with a link to the article that apparently triggered that reaction/excuse to not exercise if you're interested.

4

u/plantmic 15d ago

The thing is, even if that's the case then doing a bit of exercise is going to lower your resting heart rate and "save" you a lot more beats than you "spend".

17

u/GBpatsfan 15d ago

IIRC so did Neil Armstrong. Not trying to make a point, I just remember it coming up when he passed.

21

u/Cutsdeep- 15d ago

98..99..."dies"

3

u/kimchifreeze 15d ago

I mean your body definitely doesn't have an infinite amount of exercises.

2

u/derpyco 15d ago

Bro he asked why we couldn't NUKE A HURRICANE

29

u/wellichickenpie 15d ago

Isn’t it nice we don’t have to think about him every day now?

The USA has not been something to admire for a long, long time. I may be older than you, but I lost respect for it when G.W. Bush 'got elected'. At least more people are seeing it for what it is now though, so thats one good thing.

3

u/JordyLakiereArt 15d ago

I still think a lot about how he is not in prison after attempting a coup in the US

1

u/paku9000 15d ago

Could you Americans please please, "with cherry on top", make a huge effort so we all get to keep doing that after 2024?
Could those 81,283,098 million nice voters for Biden do the same thing in 2024 as trumpets did in 2020?
Also please do your best defeating all those James Crow vote suppressing laws?
I know it's maybe asking for much, but you are not the only country in the world...

15

u/maz-o 15d ago

It's been very refreshing to not hear from him every god damned day. And honestly, it's been refreshing to not hear from the sitting president either all the time.

6

u/123_alex 15d ago

and 74 million voted for him...

5

u/HGpennypacker 15d ago

This is the same dude that looked directly at the sun during an eclipse.

2

u/woodie4u247 15d ago

He still is

2

u/grammar_oligarch 15d ago

Every person who wasn’t using him in some way has outwardly stated how stupid Trump is.

Every. Person. He is America’s true idiot son; a daddy’s boy who got given a degree from a college he could have never gotten into without money, then got given his daddy’s money. He coasted through on stupidity and a corrupt 80s economy that rewarded failure and dishonesty. Every decision he personally made was exactly what an idiot would do.

When he speaks, he gives the broadest oversimplifications, peppered with tangents that go nowhere and don’t even have a specious connection to his thesis.

He is walking evidence of how easy it was to be in real estate in the 80s and 90s.

And somehow, 40% of voters hear him talk and think he’s a visionary.

We’re fucked…if I had an ounce of courage, I’d blow my brains out to avoid seeing the Hell that is coming in the next 40 years.

2

u/kfkrneen 15d ago

How we went from one of the best orators out there to a guy who can't speak a single coherent sentence will always baffle me. Y'all would rather have to decipher that flimsy and empty word soup than listen to a clear and concise speech by a black man?

Is it because they can just time out and interpolate whatever meaning they need for the mental gymnastics when Trump speaks? It means nothing so you can spin it to mean anything.

1

u/Nickthegreek28 15d ago

Is an idiot

1

u/ZachMN 15d ago

That idiot is still the leader of the Republican Party. Idiots don’t want a leader smarter than themselves, because that would remind them of their own stupidity.

-100

u/cheezychad11 16d ago

Yep so is Biden

63

u/NormanConquest 16d ago

Look at this guy, so smart he says both sides are the same.

Biden's an old guy, but clearly able to run circles around Trump, and has managed to go over half a year without alienating and passing off more than half the people in the country and most of Americas allies.

Trump was pure stupidity and ego. Biden may just be a regular politician but trying to compare the two is pointless. He's at least capable of stringing a sentence together and understanding basic concepts, something Trump could never do.

11

u/Crappin_For_Christ 16d ago

BUT THE LAPTOP!!!

/s

2

u/microthrower 15d ago

The difference is, Trump refuses to believe his 20 seconds of thought on a subject isn't the most in depth analysis a human has ever done.

Trump's refusal to admit he doesn't know was the problem. He would talk endlessly about any subject regardless of knowing anything.

30

u/Noctudame 15d ago

Youre getting down voted because Trumps stupidity stands alone, unmatched, and limitless. There is no one to compare him too. Bidens stupidity is 100% irrelevant to the conversation.

15

u/unknownohyeah 15d ago

Cope harder. Also know that even what you know now you still choose to defend him, making you a terrible person.

-10

u/AnalTuesdays 15d ago

Holy shit no, he was and still is the best president America ever had.

5

u/anothername787 15d ago

Still is

?

-2

u/AnalTuesdays 15d ago

He's taking a break. People didn't vote for him so he's disappointed in us. He will be back though.
