It's OK to blame the unvaccinated — they are robbing the rest of us of our freedoms

I have no more sympathy for the pain and suffering of those who are eligible to get vaccinated but still choose not to.

Glad it's documented.

They're not asking for it. They want you to continue living your life as you see fit. Go back to normal. They already have.

They sure seem to be asking for it when they’re gasping for air and taking up a space in the hospital that could have gone to someone else who isn’t dying of a preventable disease.

I sure wish our healthcare workers would go back to normal and let you dumbasses deal with the consequences

We don’t want sympathy, a bunch of young healthy individuals do not need a vaccine...

If there is one thing I’ve noticed while scanning the sea of anti-vaxxers/maskers is that young and healthy they are not.

Where the fuck are yours?

Which point did I make that you want a source for?

u/iDick 16d ago

I want the one that says the infection rate for young and healthy people is ‘incredibly’ low.

The vaccine is not just about protecting the individual. It also helps slow the spread of the virus across the population, although that’s not as true with the delta variant.

I’m not sure if that’s true either. The virus spreading around healthy people would give it a chance to evolve into a more deadly variant.

Would it? I’m not actually sure, I’ll look more into that. “A chance” is also confusing cause what is that chance, if it’s very low I don’t see that as an issue or something we worry about until we see it come up then.

There is evidence that viral mutation occurs when a virus moves between hosts. Thus, the unvaccinated are creating the variants. There are currently 13 variants that are being tracked. The faster we can get the world population vaccinated the sooner we can end the mutations.

Also, there is no need for you to “look into that.” Instead, you should trust the experts at the CDC. Find a guiding light, specifically the educated scientists at the CDC, and let them lead you out of this fog of uniformed confusion you’ve created for yourself before you kill yourself or someone else.

Woahhh I was with you until the dont look into it part lol you can’t be informed and not look into stuff.

2

u/i-am_i-said 16d ago

I think his or her point is that experts who study viruses for a living are already looking into this stuff. And their methods are more advanced than anything you or me could develop in our lifetimes. In other words, trust the experts.

If by "look into that" you meant reading, listening, and understanding what the experts say, then I'm sure the person you replied to would be perfectly OK with that.

That’s reprehensible. I understand being frustrated, but to say you have no sympathy for the pain and suffering of another human being, regardless of the circumstances, is psychopathic.
