Yeah I own a rental property, and just had solar panels installed on my house. It would be neat to do it for my rental property but I don’t know how the economics work. Tenant pays the electricity bill.

There is no easy way to get the investment back without having to become a mini electricity provider or marking up rent costs to cover the panels and hoping tenants are willing to pay a premium for a reduction in their electricity bill.

Plus if you include electricity chances are you find your garage converted in a Bitcoin mining facility with the electric bill s killing you

In Sweden electric companies are required by law to buy electricity from private solar panels and wind turbines at a market rate.. maybe you guys have something similar.
