Advice on how to talk to my boyfriend about splitting shared expenses 60/40?

If you want to split utilities more evenly, then you need to talk about usage. Who uses more power generally? What about water (if you pay for it)? Do either of you take longer showers? You can’t just base it off of who makes more, especially considering you’re BOTH saving money at the same time.
