Already texted mine. When these changes go live and start charging, going to cancel until its revoked or until a series I want gets completed and cancelled and then ill buy a month.

Standard is $15.49 in HD, Basic is $10 in 720p (Basic w/ads is $7). Premium 4k is $20 a month now. Costs more than HBOMAX at $16 for 4k + no ads. Not to mention you can also get HBOMAX down to $12.50 with the yearly plan.

They already had asshole pricing in that way. I think for a lot of people adding more asshole pricing was the last straw. Plus most people I know consider Netflix worth it because they share the account with their families or friends.

At least with the people I know, best case scenario is they’d come out with the same amount of subscriptions as they started with but in all likelihood they’d lose subscribers within the people I know. Obviously it’s a small sample but if that’s how most people use netflix it wouldn’t be worth it.

If they offered 1 screen 4k for 9.99 they would probably eliminate most of the sharing problem. Forcing people onto 4 screens for 4k has me sharing with friends cause I’m forced to have way more screens than I need.

I now very rarely go to the office, and I used to watch Netflix on my commute.

My kid intermittently watches on her iPad.

The notion that we have to login every 30 days or have our devices locked out and need to call support is definitely making me consider canning my service

I pay for the highest package and have two kids in college in different states. Netflix won't get 3 accounts out of me, they'll lose the one acct I have. They better think long and hard, because I'm just one of millions thinking the same thing. We've been customers since the DVD-by-mail days. But Netflix isn't the only game in town anymore.

Don’t know if you have a Roku Tv or stream stick, but it’s da bomb. Tons of free shows, channels, movies, news etc. you pay once for the device, then pick what you want to pay for ala carte or just enjoy the free stuff. Also, Amazon Prime makes it about as easy as it can be to add and drop stream services too. Netflix doesn’t seem to have any decent original programming anymore.

Yup. My mobile plan doesn’t give a crap that my “family plan” reaches across multiple households, nether should Netflix. I pay for the ability to stream multiple screens, give me my screens.

Both kids have the same cell numbers on our family plan that they've had since junior high. If our health insurance can cover them in multiple states, Netflix can fuck off if they can't figure it out. 🙄

Honestly yeah, I end up finding myself watching all my other services. The only thing I'm watching Netflix consistently for is for the stand-up comedian specials, but the quality there is hit or miss.

Same! We were also a test account for streaming, for 4 screens, etc. The only reason we're still paying is for small grandchildren to watch cartoons: two households, 3 hours apart.

If they do this, we'll just purchase another Disney/Hulu for the away grandkids and cancel Netflix.

Same, I pay for four screens and only one gets used for the most part.

My mom hardly watches. My brother doesn't use it as he uses Wako (kodi). My kid doesn't use it. I don't use it as I use Wako (kodi). Only person who uses it is my Dad and y he said he is fine with me canceling it and he will just stick with the Hulu/Disney+ package, I've also hooked him up with Kodi.

Yeah, the only reason I pay for the premium plan is that I share it with my sister and my parents free of charge. The minute they get their accounts blocked I cancel the subscription.

Where I live I can get HBO Max, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ all for the same price of that Netflix subscription. All without this bullshit and others like making me pay extra for 4k content.

Even better, downloading pirated content isn't even illegal here, only distributing it. So back to the pirate life I go for the half a dozen series that Netflix launches a year that are remotely interesting to me.

Yep, this is where I'm headed. I was happy to pay a reasonable amount of money to do it the right way, but with Netflix being a bag of dicks, and a new streaming service popping up every fucking month and pulling content from services I'm already subscribed to, I'm over it. It was good while it lasted.

I was double-checking whether it had really gone up or not yesterday. As soon as it went live I'd have to tell my mom to cancel her subscription (she travels for work so this wouldn't do for her) and my dad to downgrade his to basic since his children wouldn't be able to use it anymore therefore he wouldn't need any of the extra screens. And between the four of us kids, this new system would only be feasible for one of us because the rest of us travel too much (and I'm just travelling between college, my mom's and my dad's!). Truly an idiotic system.
