Congratulations, your kid identifies as ADHD.

62

u/dizzira_blackrose Nov 28 '22

This comment reminded me of a conversation I had with my parents where they told me my school thought I might have ADHD or ADD, and that I should probably be looked at and maybe get medication. My mom freaked out and said absolutely not because she didn't want her kid to be a "drugged up zombie" and for me to just "be myself". Lo and behold, I grew up with her being mad at me constantly for doing poorly in school.

-18

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

Them meds fuck up your brain if used while developing so not using them was the right choice

12

u/dizzira_blackrose Nov 28 '22

Maybe, but I still needed help and maybe classes that were more at my pace. That was my point.

1

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

Yeah that’s the best option IMO essentially what I’m doing but I ain’t diagnosed. My focus may just be ass idk

19

u/Clear_Forever_2669 Nov 28 '22

Where did you go to med school?

Oh, right, you're just an uneducated troglodyte. Stay in your lane.

-16

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

Someone’s mad damn got any proof why it wouldn’t effect you? Or are you just a asshole?

5

u/globex6000 Nov 28 '22

That's not how proof works. You need proof to make your statement, it's not someone else's job to find 'proof' that the statement is false.

1

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

We had a disagreement he said no I said no neither had any backing other than word of mouth so?

18

u/Clear_Forever_2669 Nov 28 '22

https://www.reddit.com/r/EFT_LFG/comments/yvfenh/gamer_that_likes_to_game/

You're a literal uneducated child.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

-13

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

I just did research in fact so I’m not uneducated why are you being such a dick Reddit has gotten to ya hasn’t it bud

17

u/Clear_Forever_2669 Nov 28 '22

You are not a doctor.

You are not a psychologist.

You have zero medical training, education, or experience.

You are a child.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

-1

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

Do you? Like seems were equal literal child>manchild

9

u/globex6000 Nov 28 '22

I just did research

No you didn't.

1

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

I just looked at studies and websites? What do you classify as research

5

u/globex6000 Nov 28 '22

FFS, looking up things on the internet is NOT medical research.

Did you conduct double blind clinical trials, with a control group, and submit your findings for peer review? That is what actual medical research is.

No, of course not. Because you are a literally a child.

-1

u/PoopyHed6969420 Nov 28 '22

You look like a awful person according to your profile. Bet you sit in your moms basement and send insults to teens on the internet hoping someone will love you like your parents did 10 years ago

-19

u/BigButtFucker9000000 Nov 28 '22

If a teacher told me that, I'd ask them where they got their degree in psychology from, and then ask why they want to get my son/daughter addicted to medication at such a young age.

Then I'd ask them if they know anything about brain growth in young children.

13

u/dizzira_blackrose Nov 28 '22 edited Nov 28 '22

My point was I struggled because I have a learning disability that probably is one of the two, and it fucked me over. Not sure why you're suggesting they were wrong. I agree on the medication part, especially for a young child, but I still had something going on and needed help. Plus they said I might have it, not that I absolutely did. There were probably some very telling signs I had it that they noticed, it's not like they were diagnosing me themselves.

EDIT: added more details.

1

u/pauls_broken_aglass Dec 21 '22

I feel this so hard. I did so badly my first semester of college because I couldn't sit down to work on assignments, was easily distracted, and completely forgot entire classes exist and it absolutely just destroyed my confidence in myself. I plan on seeing what I can do to get tested or whatever they do when we're back from winter break.

1

u/dizzira_blackrose Dec 21 '22

I completely understand, it's really hard. I struggled my whole life and now I can't bring myself to go back to school because the entire experience was that bad. I really hope you get the answers and the help you're looking for 🖤

-6

u/Clear_Forever_2669 Nov 28 '22

Where did you go to med school?

Oh, you didn't?

Stay in your lane, uneducated trash.

2

u/BigButtFucker9000000 Nov 28 '22

I know a lot about grade-school "diagnosis" because I had over seven in my first grade year. Everything from ADHD to Bipolar Disorder from a woman who read too much buzzfeed.

My parents ran around in circles trying to figure out what was wrong with me, and eventually I tried to kill myself because my needs were left untreated and I fell into a depressive state. They were looking in the direction of ADD but ignored the Autism.

All because they had the audacity to trust a teacher who believed a quick glance could diagnose a kid.

-2

u/Clear_Forever_2669 Nov 28 '22

A "woman who read too much buzzfeed" didn't diagnose anything.

https://www.reddit.com/r/shitposting/comments/z6bbeh/comment/iy0nfii

Perhaps stick to being a racist weeb lowlife.

Leave medicine to the educated.

206

u/jackfaire Nov 27 '22

If they also posted "we should arm the teachers" You should post one of a teacher with a gun screaming "You're tans now" to screw with them

172

u/MincedMongoose2 Nov 27 '22

I hate this sh!t. My sister is a lesbian teacher, so on top of normal teacher harassment, she gets accused grooming kids by people who share this stuff.

125

u/IntertelRed Nov 27 '22

I honestly don't know what they think happens in schools.

I had 2 lesbian teachers in high school and they didn't exactly nring it up all the time. It was only brought up because one teacher had a photo of her wife and a kid thoughts they were sisters and another being that she forgot something and her wife brought it.

That's is the is the entire extent to that discussion. I mean Gen Z kids didn't even really bat an eye at it. At most it was the first time queer kids saw a queer adult functioning around them as a normal member of society.

My straight teachers talked about their romantic partners way more.

13

u/bobafoott Nov 28 '22

Gen Z kids didn't even really bat an eye at it.

And there's the problem they have. They think kids are supposed to hate trans and gay people, not tolerate them unquestioningly

10

u/Boneal171 Nov 28 '22

I love hearing conservatives complain about Gen Z. There was one politician saying that the voting age should be upped to age 21, to prevent 18,19, and 20 year olds from voting because of the blue wave in the midterm. They’re angry because we’re not as bigoted as they are

3

u/IntertelRed Nov 28 '22

I'm confused I'm saying my generation was naturally accepting atleast mostly. Worst you got was a look or a comment and not even overly aggressive.

I actually I got picked on for being a gamer no one directly picked on me for being a bisexual who was my own age.

55

u/tacodog7 Nov 27 '22

They don't think any of that, they just want gay people eradicated and gone forever.

-11

u/Naphaniegh Nov 27 '22

She let her WIFE into the SCHOOL???!!!

12

u/PongoPuppies Nov 27 '22

Fun fact I let my Trans Wife into my school on a day the school was closed but I still had to work. No kids there. My boss called me at 6:00 (after hours) to tell me that was not ok. Other people had a problem with it and told him (he wasn’t working either.)

1

u/pauls_broken_aglass Dec 21 '22

Right? My theater teacher would mention his fiancé, but never really talked about them. All my other teachers talked about their husbands or wives frequently. He didn't show pictures from his wedding outside of a select small group in theater.

Turns out he was married to a man and could get in trouble with the district if too many people knew, so his students kept it a secret to help protect him.

Now he works at an "acceptance academy" and by god do I wish I could have attended somewhere like that. But I'm glad for him. I wish I could visit.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '22

I had a lesbian highschool teacher, but found out years later. I had no idea at the time.

15

u/supersaiyan69goku Nov 27 '22

the only thing that LGBTQ+ teachers do is teach kids that they're just like anyone else and they shouldn't be treated any differently

As a former teacher I can tell you that most kids don't care, it's the parents that teach their children to be bigoted jerks. Also, the majority of my LGBT families showed up, most of my single parents showed, those from hetro families more often than not it was just the mom.

Difference between LGBT and Christian Nationalists is one group wants to live and love without persecution, the other is actively doing the persecution. I'm not a kkkristian by any means, nor do I care if you are, just don't be a bigot.

1

u/skinnygirlcooks Dec 05 '22

How do her students know about her private sexual preferences though

2

u/MincedMongoose2 Dec 05 '22

She lives in a small town, so people see her with her wife.

1

u/skinnygirlcooks Dec 05 '22

ah ok that's normal, i thought she told the students herself bc that would be weird even if she was hetero

Where did I say she's on social media?

68

u/gameplayuh Nov 27 '22

This meme is actually what transphobes want. Eg. Student: "I'm non binary." Teacher: "No you're not! You're female!" Always projection with these types

26

u/lookitsajojo Nov 27 '22

Yeah I mean, They seem to think that having teacher be allowed to say "Trans people exist" means that They are turning every kid trans or something

18

u/Naphaniegh Nov 27 '22

New ideas are a threat to their ideology.

2

u/lookitsajojo Nov 28 '22

"If kids learn about other people then that means I can't make Them hate Themself"

The alphabetti Spaghetti squads ideology is "We should have basic human rights and respect" while the Cross Fitters ideology is "These people shouldn't be able to get married, have healthcare or even be talked about in school because this 2000 year old book says so" (Ofcourse not all Christians are like this, I'm only referring to the people who use Their religion as an excuse for hate)

1

u/ThatRandomCrazyGuy Nov 30 '22

Alphabet mafia

Why do bigots make the groups they dislike sound so cool?

10

u/OkMathematician3439 Nov 27 '22

I knew I was a boy in preschool and my teachers confused me because they told me I wasn’t. I feel robbed of my childhood.

2

u/FindingNatural3040 Nov 28 '22

Well, they could say I have xxy chromosomes and just present as a girl. Granted, many don't understand science of biology fully.

4

u/ThreeTwoOneQueef Nov 27 '22

You're a wizard Harry.

14

u/Empigee Nov 27 '22

I've defriended high school acquaintances for posting transphobic memes. I'll overlook 80-year old relatives posting that, not some guy I haven't spoken to in 20 years and didn't particularly like when I was in regular contact with him.

23

u/Professional_Ad5173 Nov 27 '22

If teachers were making those decisions they would be getting paid a lot more than they do.

8

u/AvoidingCares Nov 27 '22

That's a recurring theme in fascism: the outgroup is simultaneously ultra high-powered and nearly invulnerable, and also completely worthless and would easily be crushed if only you would rise up.

Villifying teachers and academics is also a recurring theme, but in this case: "teachers are useless and don't deserve to be paid enough to live || teachers are an insidious force making your children LGBTQ+".

3

u/LadyHeide Nov 28 '22

These memes smell like propaganda

18

3

u/keefer3 Nov 27 '22

This stuff is sad. How do you not realize you’re being manipulated like this. I can’t imagine any teacher wanting to to talk about this with a student.

8

u/Serpent-blood Nov 27 '22

My son came home from grade school crying cuz his teacher told him he could be a girl an he didn’t want to be one he was happy being a boy an the teacher asked him how does he know he wouldn’t be happier as a girl. Yeah he was 7 at the time.

21

u/Ambitious_Road1773 Nov 27 '22

Lol, I thought it was funny. I'll take my downvotes and show myself the door.

-8

u/boyupstairs Nov 27 '22

I'm looking at this two different ways: the good ol teachers are turning our kids trans way and the doctor admitting they have no idea what they're doing way lol. Idk maybe I'm just sleep deprived but that second way of looking at this is killing me rn

30

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '22

“Doctor what gender is the baby?”

“I don’t fuckin know I didn’t go to medical school.”

12

u/Martyr-Saint Nov 27 '22

“AND VEN HE VOKE UP HIZ SKELETON VAZ MISSING AND ZE DOKTOR VAS NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN!

Anyvey, Zat’s how I lost my medical license.”

1

u/Naphaniegh Nov 27 '22

Weird how he got downvoted for saying the exact same thing but just less concisely.

0

u/chickichuglette Nov 27 '22

It's ok I laugh at most of the memes in this sub and upvote the funny ones.

3

u/PlsLeavemealone02 Nov 28 '22

It be like that though! And it's so annoying!

I've had teachers who assumed that I'm a boy, despite the frilly, sparkly, flower covered shit my mom dressed me in (god did I hate all of it, I love been punk goth since birth).

And since my name didn't sound "girly" enough to them, they'd give me this horrid nickname. My name is Ky -Mani, like Bob Marley's kid I think. Idk. My mom originally planned to name me Kylie Minogue, after that singer of "Can't get you outta my head". You know the song, it was on that game Dance Central.

Anyway, every other breathing organism called me Mani for short. But apparently, that makes me sound like small Mexican boy. (No really, until people meet me, the pronounce it as Manny, like from El Tigre. It's actually like Mon - nee). So I was called Kym (kim), Kimmie, or Minnie. I hated being girly, so it grated my cheese to be called that. Also, I thought, & still think El Tigre: Adventures of Manny Rivera is the shit.

And even if all the above doesn't happen, the butchering. Oh lord, the BUTCHERING! sitting there for 5 minutes while they try to figure it out without help is painful. And even them, the closet most people get is Key - Manny, sounds just like that too.

While I don't want endure the Kardashian jokes, being a caked up black woman, at least my name would be said & spelled correctly.

Some transgender opponents are lesbian. Eg, search for “same-sex attraction” on twitter.

3

What’s in their legs? Maybe they need to see a doctor about that.

2

1

u/binkus1337 Nov 27 '22

What even is a conservative? Can someone explain?

-3

u/RoutineComment5330 Nov 27 '22

If gay people, trans and whatever else want to be treated as equal, than they can be made fun of for things they say and do like the rest of us. And the identity as.. joke will never get old.

4

u/Entire_Industry_1562 Nov 27 '22

It did get old, like six fucking years ago lmaooo. Y'all have nothing else to critique but the same lousy ass trivial thin. Grow and change as a person.

-2

u/RoutineComment5330 Nov 27 '22

Having a sense of humor is part of being a person. Sorry I’m not as grown as you. But I really don’t give a fuck.

2

Not really a good mentality to have lmao. So edgy, but I really don't give a fuck.

2

u/BrzysWRLD1996 Nov 27 '22

Lmfao like anyone with a brain would not have the gender determined at birth. These people just making up problems when he already have enough. When that blessing(baby) leaves the hospital by law the birth certificate will be complete with biological gender attached, been that way forever ain’t changing anytime soon no need to fear monger, though I do understand how this would be very disturbing if true.

1

u/Blue-Eyed-Lemon Nov 28 '22

No teacher has ever, EVER decided a kid's gender. EVER. This was made up and has not STOPPED circulating in right-wing circles since.

I have never seen a SINGLE case of some kid going to school and having their teacher decide they're trans. Ever. Not once. Never. I'm starting to get really fucking tired of the right pretending like it's a daily occurrence.

0

u/iamthefluffyyeti Nov 27 '22

Whooooah, another strawman

1

u/Queso-Adicto-7452 Nov 27 '22

I don't get it

3

u/bewildered_forks Nov 27 '22

Teachers force kids to be gay and/or trans. One of the new(?) right wing talking points. They get to discredit education and demonize gay and trans people all at the same time.

3

u/Queso-Adicto-7452 Nov 27 '22

Thanks for explaining

1

u/raptoraptorr Nov 28 '22

“That’s a cute little political statement there Doctor but I’ll thank you not to use my pregnancy to comment on the current political climate and your obvious perception that teachers are the ones deciding children’s genders, rather than the belief that children having enough sense of self perception to decide that for themselves. If you speak to me in this manner again I’ll be notifying the hospital and putting in a written complain to the medical board of directors for your less than professional behaviour. Have a good day.”
