TIL after his father and brother were killed by Confederate Home Guard, Henry Berry Lowrie led a band of American Indian, White, and African-American men in a guerrilla war against the Confederacy and later the upper class. He obtained a Robbin Hood like status and vanished without a trace in 1872.

Whoa dude that IS Bryan Cranston! In the beginning, when they find all the letters right? Ho. Lee. Shit. Never occurred to me.

For me, the bigger “woah” moment was when I realized the wrong Ryan they find first is Nathan Fillion. He looks so young there.

If you really want to get into it, the white haired guy is Dale Dye, also known for playing Colonel Sink in Band of Brothers.

Dale Dye was a Captain in the Marines, who felt that more realism was necessary to depict combat and soldier lives in war movies, and so started a cottage industry in training the actors in those movies how to behave and operate as soldiers. He put every actor with lines in both SPR and BoB through a two-week boot camp prior to shooting, but also made sure to have a cameo in each too.

I always found it ironic that the guy responsible for giving the actors their martial training voiced a character that was against the premise of the movie SPR.

He looks so young there

Heh, odd. I remember watching him on TGAGAAPP waaay back when, then firefly.... He'd have to look really really young for me to think he looked young (given his age at SPR).

Sorta unrelated but I just figured out Inigo Montoya was Mandy Patinkin today

Haha I remember watching the princess bride for the first time with my fiancée and being like “holy crap that’s the guy from NCIS!” She straight up didn’t believe me and we paused the movie to look it up and verify.

Lol he’s from Criminal Minds but close enough

Oh, I'm guessing you saw that Newsweek article? The story about channeling his grief over his father's cancer into the role has been common knowledge for a while, but I don't think I'd heard Patinkin himself confirm it before.

He also has two cameos in Babylon 5 (same character, back to back episodes)- pretty solid too. Dude was meant to lead a show.

(Sooooo many other random roles over time)
