That would be nice. Talk with your SO’s people, make your specific wants and needs within a relationship known and you “usually” will be a-okay going forward.
Unfortunately there may also be some who hear what you say, but don’t actually listen. One of the most humble desires you can have in a relationship is to literally just feel loved and cared for. Don’t let anyone make that seem like an unreasonable or unachievable request.
