Vähän harmillista kyllä olisi syrjäseuduille. Täällä Helsingissä ja muissa isommissa kaupungeissa varmasti nopeastikin nousisi yksityisiä viinikauppoja, joiden valikoima ja palvelutaso vastaisi Alkoa, mutta samaa tuskin tapahtuu syrjemmällä. Tämä nyt toki ei ole mikään oikea peruste puolustaa alkoholimonopolia, mutta harmillista silti.

Kokoomuksen ongelma aina on ollut juuri se että kyseessä on alusta saakka ollut koalitio (Suomalainen puolue + Nuorsuomalainen puolue). Kypäräpapit ja liberaalit samassa puolueessa. Toki yhteisiä asioita löytyy juuri sieltä talouspuolelta, mutta muuten mennään aika laidasta laitaan. Maakunnissa kypäräpappilinja on aikalailla vaadittu jos haluaa kilpailla äänestäjistä Keskustan ja Perussuomalaisten kanssa.

Kristillisdemokraatit historiallisesti toimi Kokoomuksen ankkuripuolueena, eli jos Kokoomus lipesi liikaa liberaaliin suuntaan, se menetti ääniä KD:lle. Tämä asetelma on kuitenkin viime vuosikymmeninä muuttunut, ja ankkurina toimii nykyään enemmän persut (ja ehkä jopa Keskusta).

Aikaisemmin Kokoomuksella oli myös toisen puolen ankkuripuolue, eli Edistyspuolue (myöhemmin Kansanpuolue, ja Liberaalinen kansanpuolue). Se esti vuorostaan liikaa siirtymistä konservatiiviseen suuntaan. LKP kuitenkin lakkasi käytännössä olemasta merkittävä 90-luvun vaihteessa, ja poliittiseen kenttään syntyi liberaali tyhjiö. Vihreät kuitenkin täytti sitä jotenkuten vuosituhannen vaihteessa, ja he toimivat Kokoomuksen ankkurina (joku saattaa muistaa Vihreitä haukutun Kokoomuksen puisto-osastoksi). Vihreissä kuitenkin tapahtui harppaus vasemmalle tässä viime vuosikymmenellä, mikä tarkoittaa että ankkuria ei enää ole. Kokoomuksella ei ole juuri pelkoa menettää ääniä yhtään mihinkään kun oikeistoliberaaleja puolueita ei ole olemassa. Tämä on mahdollistanut siirtymisen konservatiivisempaan suuntaan. Pieniä toiveita ja viitteitä on että Vihreät siirtyy takaisin oikeammalle, ainakin oikeistovihreät ovat nostaneet profiiliaan, mutta aika näyttää. Kuitenkin tällä hetkellä Kokomuksella ei ole liberaalia ankkuria lainkaan.

Onhan noita muita oikeistopuolueita, mutta ei juurikaan kelvollisia vaihtoehtoja. Keskusta on kuitenkin paljon konservatiivisempi kuin Kokoomus ikinä. Persuja on turha edes mainita. Hjalliisen poppoo on lähinnä vitsi.

RKP taas on aikalailla sika säkissä, puolue taipuu mihin vain kunhan eturyhmien asiat toteutetaan. Eva Biaudetiin henkilöityvä Nej-liberalismi on siellä osittain valloillaan, mikä on aika kaukana siitä mitä liberalismin pitäisi olla. Kyseessä on kuitenkin kielipuolue, jonka olemassaolon tarkoitus on edistää kieliryhmän etuja, usein muiden kustannuksella. Esimerkiksi katastrofaalinen sote-uudistus on osittain RKP:n aikaansaannos, jossa sote-alueet saatiin jenkkityyliin gerrymanderoitua niin että RKP sai paljon valtaa rannikkoseudulla, ja alueiden ruotsinkieliset palvelut turvattua keskushallinnon piikkiin. Ääni RKP:lle on ensisijaisesti ääni alue- ja kielieturyhmälle, eli jos ei niihin kuulu, ei kyseessä ole oikea vaihtoehto oikeistoliberaalille äänestäjälle.

Itse olen tällä vuosituhannella yrittänyt kantaa korteni kekoon liberaalin vaihtoehdon puolesta. Ensin Edistyspuolueen ja sitten Liberaalipuolueen äänestäjänä. Tulos on kuitenkin aika laihaa.

Well, they are allegedly forcing price parity on publishers, so they can’t sell cheaper on their own website or some other storefront that takes smaller cuts. That’s anticompetitive as shit, and they are being sued over it.

Putin will be happy, as now Andersson will be replaced in the finnish parliament by a Putin loyalist Johannes Yrttiaho, as Andersson can’t sit on both parliaments by law.

If you didn’t know, there are many Putin loyalists in the finnish Left Alliance, working as an internal opposition faction against Andersson’s faction.

Surullisinta näiden vaalien lopputuloksessa on se, että kun Vasemmistoliiton kansanedustajat nyt lähtevät mepeiksi, nousee Putinin kätyri Johannes Yrttiaho takaisin eduskuntaan.

Mikä sitten olisi se oikea syy? Yleisesti kuitenkin ihmiset jotka uskovat että länsimaisista demokratioista koostuva EU haluaa vain valvomisen ilosta valvoa kaikkea ihmisten toimintaa eivät ole niitä joilla on vähänkin järkeä päässä, vaan niitä joiden järki on kärähtänyt jo aikapäiviä sitten foliohatun lämmössä. Yleensä kun sitä oikeaa syytä lähtee kyselemään, niin ei kauhean kauaa mene kun on pöydässä new world orderit ja juutalaissalaliitot.

The thing is, what constitutes a living wage is based on the home location, and all other wages reflect to that level. Most of the wages go to the cost of living everywhere, especially to housing. There is the leeching class, landowners, leeching the fruit of labor from the workforce, and in the west they are leeching that much more in pure dollars. The sad thing is that wages increasing in India wouldn’t go to increasing the value of life of the workforce, but the landowning leeches of that region.

For me, I also served my full time in the Finnish army because I was a coward. Back then, in the year 2000, they still put you in actual prison. (Well, minimum security one where convicts are allowed to work and study outside the facility on weekdays, but still prison). But even bigger deterrent than that was the lie that future employer would not hire you if you did not go through military service. That was a complete lie, it is actually illegal for them to ask about your service, and I haven’t included my military service record voluntarily either in my CV since the early 2000s and nobody has cared. And there is also a law which dictates that if you are sentenced as conscientious objector (“totaalikieltäytyminen”), that does not go to your criminal record, so that stays clean as well.

But why I was contemplating refusing military service, and civilian service too, was and is completely ideological. I do wish to protect and fight for the good things in this country (democracy, civil liberties, equality) against outside invader (which would obviously be Russia, and they have none of those things), but the fact that conscription is forced labour without pay just doesn’t fit right with me. It’s basically slavery, and that should be opposed, always, everywhere.

Well at least here in Finland, where we also have conscription, you go to a normal prison and serve six months (or at least it used to be 6months, the same as the shortest conscription time).

That hasn’t been the case for ages in Finland. These days you get 6 months of “house arrest” if you refuse conscription. Electronic tagging that is. You are allowed to leave your house to go to the grocery store, to work or to study etc at predetermined and agreed upon times.

DNS over TLS won’t save you thanks to SNI. As there is a huge shortage of IPV4 addresses, same IP addresses serve multiple hostnames, and to provide a working encryption, TLS handshake includes the requested hostname in plain text so that SNI can be used to determine which certificate should be used. That plaintext hostname is something your ISP can easily log.

Rule of thumb is, Https does not provide anonymity, only encryption.
