Its possible, it also depends on your location & what carrier you use at that location. entirely possible that you may never notice it. I’m in a densely populated area where I had the chance to notice the difference when I switched due to the high amount of cell towers in the area and how I use my phone when Im out

As far as in later models, no, but there was a noticeable shift in coverage for me going from a Samsung S10 to a Pixel 4a and I dont feel its gotten any better with my current 6a. Its my understanding that the pixels have been using shittier modems

Thats odd, it doesnt find it for you? I haven’t had to use it in a couple years so maybe the database it outdated? I think theres an app on F-Droid called Kanade that can pull package internal names from packages if that might help.

As someone who held on to the Pixel 4a for as long as possible, I feel like my demand should have been felt. Can’t speak for others.

Theres a project called Universal Android Debloater NG that can help
Alternatively you can use a custom ROM / buy a phone that supports a custom ROM next time youre in the market

Does Anyone know if this will affect the fact pixels get less service than MediaTek CPUs or will shit just stay the same

The last thing you said, do you mean like, an AI-chip powered OS instead of one developed by an org. or?
Thats fair, and I agree with you for torrenting, its the one thing I wish they’d change. For privacy though, I feel like Mullvad is leading the pack. (Not having to provide an email, crypto and/or cash payments, DAITA)

$11.99 Gamepass subscription
$11.99 Spotify Premium subscription
Want more than one networks programming? Hulu/Max/Paramount/Peacock all cost around the same
ISP still sells your damn data to advertisers
OR
$5 Mullvad subscription.
You tell me what makes more sense.

I mean, you can use VNC and SSH on a 6 inch screen. You can also cut your lawn with a pair of scissors. The article shows a phone connected to a screen, I assumed that “Desktop mode” would be similar to Samsung Dex unless I missed something.

I’m angry that the new(er) phones get features that PHONES FROM 2015 ALREADY HAD.
Everyone is so pissed when Apple does it but when Google does it its A-okay? I don’t want to upgrade my phone just because a feature that was removed for no reason other than to sell chromecasts is now being added back.
I love CONSOOMING new phones. I love buying the new thing every year and creating e-waste!! Yes big brother please remove the SD Card slot and sell me a cloud subscription, yes please remove the headphone jack and sell me a dongle!
I don’t get it man. Make it make sense. Why is it a good thing that they got rid of the feature in the first place to bring it back later as a “new” feature.

I have a 6a. That was my point, I have to upgrade to get the feature they arbitrarily removed.

i wish they would’ve hopped on this when Samsung did. Knowing my Pixel doesnt have HDMI Out and that I have to upgrade just to get that feature is a pain in my ass.
