Gotta recommend Toni & Joe’s for a good beach bar outdoor vibe. Surprisingly solid food too.

Traders is good when they have live music out back on the patio.

Would avoid Flagler tavern tbh. It’s usually a mess. Guess it depends on what vibe you’re looking for

You personally are tired of her? Gosh, knowing her and her direct impact on film is an envious place to be.

Happy to. When I do postgame analysis, I like going back to see my mistakes. When I find one, I’m not just interested in knowing the best move, but understanding why it was the best move.

In chesscom analysis, I can go back to that move and it won’t just say “Ng4 was your best move”, it also lets me play Ng4 and an unlimited number of moves down that line, AND evaluates those moves along the way in real time. So I can test myself by playing the next move after Ng4 to see whether I really understand why you make that move in the first place.

I hope that makes sense. Being able to really explore each mistake / inaccuracy is very helpful in getting the “why” behind the move.

I see, thanks. It looks like you can get close to the real-time analysis chess.com does with a combination of “learn from my mistakes” and “practice this position with a computer”, but it’s not quite as helpful as what I’m used to on chess.com.

Thanks for your help navigating lichess… this feature is one of my most-used learning tools so I think I’ll have to stick with chess.com for now.

I’m on the lichess app, and do not wish to use a PC.

looks like i can click the graph icon and “request a computer analysis”, and several minutes later it is ready.

But, I don’t seem to have the freedom to follow specific (better) lines and have different move sequences evaluated in real-time, like chess.com does.

Am I missing something?

Just, how the hell do I use it? I opened an old game, clicked analysis (the microscope icon), it loaded this view. Where are the suggestions? Best move? +/-?

Sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn’t. I just need to know how it’s supposed to work…

I’ve been trying to use lichess but the analysis UX is very confusing to me; I think I’m just too used to chess.com.

Is there a quick tutorial or something on using lichess for postgame analysis that could help? It’s my last barrier to moving on and saving my subscription cost.

Seriously, check out early intervention. My daughter was very quiet up through 12 months and doc sent her to EI as a precaution. She had no words at the time but signed well. After 3 months of EI she was on a completely different trajectory.

Part of it is teaching your child things, but it’s mainly about teaching YOU things. Strategies to engage your child in a vocal way, to elicit sounds and communicate more effectively.

You get so many great tools to use with your child in EI. I’m surprised your doctor hasn’t brought it up yet. I’d reach out to your pediatrician and inquire, and be persistent. Even if you feel it’s not 100% necessary, I guarantee you that you’ll be a better communicator with your child as a result, and the dividends will pay for months and months.

Good luck.

I fully agree, which is why when I drive I forbid any talking, radio, or movement inside the car lest it disrupt my fragile concentration.

Seriously just asking for my own knowledge: is it a thing now to not refer to one’s child’s gender, or is this just a privacy thing?

Makes a huge difference and the ice is way better. It’s the little things!!

Sorry I’m out of ideas. Something is up with this app lately!

One other thing I tried that got me past the specific issue you’re having… I opened D+ app on my phone, and that unlocked something because it started asking me to authorize the firestick. Try the phone app?

2

COMMENT 16d ago

Here’s a question… did you just get the second fire stick? I just recently got a second 4K fire stick and that’s when the trouble started. I’ve had them both logged in for maybe a week now but the troubles just cropped up yesterday.

It’s now been the same thing 2 days in a row , so I’m on my second password in as many days.

Did you get it figured out?

2

COMMENT 16d ago

I had this same problem yesterday and today. I kept trying different ways to log in, and it forced me to reset my passwd

Totally agree. It’s completely unintuitive and worse yet, if it is a design choice to have it run on its own algorithm, Where does it say that?? As a user what cues are there to help me expect that?
