Same man. Years ago, I started using Reddit Enhancement Suite to filter out the awful subs. I probably got another 3 years out of Reddit but now I hang out in too many sports subs and the toxic bologna people care about is nonsense. I picked up a couple new computer-based hobbies to reduce my reddit time but here I am all the same.

I'm old too, what is sub? Why are you calling me dumb? You stated something wrong and expect respect, so you're calling me dumb?

COMMENT 2h ago

You made two long posts, the first of which started with a gaff. Nobody here has to read what you wrote, it's up to you to make it worth reading. If you opened by owning up to the gaff, that'd have been different, but you're at least as hard headed as I am.

Rich Paul has an obligation to do what is best for his client

He doesn't, so I don't think it's a stupid argument. I also didn't read the rest of what you wrote because you stumbled right out the gate there, Rich Paul is SUPPOSED to do what's best for his client. But he only does it for SOME clients.

Like players respecting their contract obligations, but only for SOME teams.

You're a man among boys, of course it feels hopeless. Once the first person in a friend group loses their virginity, the virginity jokes stop and part of becoming a man is talking about sex like men instead of boys. You're an adult with a low-performing friend group.

You have everything it takes but you'll never get with a girl who sees you with little boys.

You know it really could have been but in the moment, the shape was such a curio that I was distracted and the sighting felt medical.

Internet culture? Indeed you are right.

yeah no man you're good, and thanks for the good words. I mean, being around here makes us all sensitive to asshattery. That's just us being realistic, this site is asshat-compatible so it's only natural. you rock, thanks for the chat🤙

touche, my second social media fail today.

How can you say something so agreeable and insightful. I can't think of any disgruntled star leaving Philly and not playing better, and that does assuage some concern.

I don't disagree with that at all, it's easy as hell to look dumb and ESPECIALLY when you say disagreeable things

The point is you're looking at him through a lens you don't even think about. This guy doesn't "do" media talk like a player or a coach, which is what you're used to. He talks in a way you weren't expecting, yet you haven't adjusted your expectations.

Very realistic. I do wonder what realistic sixers fans think about his attitude and how other teams might judge it.

Imagine a team gets Ben in exchange for, like, CJ McCollum and Robert Covington. Then 2 years later, they trade Ben Simmons for like a role player, a pick, and Kevin Love. That's a value degradation risk teams are really looking at when they think what they'll do if he doesn't pan out.

Ben could be great for a retooling team, but my fear is he'd pout, lower his value further, struggle to show improvement without star pieces around him, and ultimately bring a team further down. If I'm the Wolves or Kings, I'm not touching Ben because I'm afraid that's an instant 10 more years of recovery. Imagine it's 2032 and the Kings still haven't sniffed the playoffs. We could end up with the Las Vegas Kings.

Ben Simmons has the potential to change the map of NBA teams, he's that risky.
