This is me too. Protip: go to university, date people who are studying fields that are employable. Get a career in your field of study; marry someone who has a career in their field of study. Wait thirty years and BOOM! FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE!

You can always brute force it. You only have three terms: A, B, and C. There are only 8 distinct combinations. Write them all and evaluate them all. If they all evaluate to 1, that proves the assertion.

I have encountered some retired / coastfired people in their jobs:
Security guard - this guy retired as an engineer, but wanted something to do. He got a job working as a security guard at the same office building where his son worked. Mostly he put on a uniform and sat at a reception desk, chatting with whoever came through.
Shuttle driver. I ran into a guy who worked at a car dealership. He drove their shuttle van for people who were having their vehicles serviced.
Vehicle renter. I saw a guy on Turo.com who has 3 cars that he rents out. He has to clean them and maintain them, and also drives them out if people need them delivered.
Innkeeper. Well, airbnb host. My neighbour has a big house with only two people living in it. She had the basement made into a suite (with a kitchen) and she rents it out on airbnb. She has to clean the place, change the sheets, and so on. This could be a great option for empty nesters who still have their (overly large) home.

Well, what brings you to Toronto today? I mainly went to Toronto for Pearson airport, so I don't know if I have the same interests or needs as you. Kelowna has Vancouver, but that's 4-5 hours to drive. However Vancouver is only 40 minutes to fly, so air travel from Kelowna is quite convenient. It has regular connections to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto. Vernon is about a 40 minute drive (with gorgeous scenery on the way) so I sometimes go there for errands.
I am quite happy here in Kelowna. There are a lot of natural touches - many orchards within the city limits, and the lake. The mountains are nearby, so I often catch myself admiring the view as I'm driving around doing my errands. Kelowna is a retirement destination for many, so I feel like I've taken a shortcut to start enjoying it while I'm still working.

I used to live in SW Ontario (Guelph) so I am familiar with both your region and Kelowna.
There are a lot of great things about Kelowna. There are many wineries inside the city, and all along the road down to Penticton. There are many craft breweries too, with more on the way. There are plenty of places to hike nearby. There are also converted rail trails which are great for walking and cycling. There's a hiking club: HikingAddiction.ca.
The climate (temperatures) are similar, but it's very dry in Kelowna. There's virtually no snow in town, compared to SW Ontario lake effect dumps. Summer is very dry too, which means that forest fires are common, and don't really end until the rain returns in the fall.
We do get quite a bit of snow in the nearby mountains. You can drive 45 minutes and be at Big White, which is a world-class downhill ski resort. They have a huge amount of terrain and lots of high-speed lifts. Virtually all of it is natural snow. They also have xc skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and tubing. In the summer they have hiking (free) and mountain biking.
The restaurant scene is OK, with just a few gems. There are some local coffee shops that are quite good. There are a few indie book shops and a board game cafe.
Living on a lake is fantastic. There are a few public beaches in town, paddling and sailing clubs. In the summer time the city presents Parks Alive! which is a series of free outdoor concerts, multiple times per week in parks around town.
Traffic can be frustrating, especially if you use the Highway 97 / Harvey Avenue artery to navigate. I assume city planners realized that tourists might otherwise bypass Kelowna, so they put as many traffic lights on this thoroughfare as possible. In practice, it rarely takes more than 30 minutes to get anywhere.
Kelowna does have a large Sikh community, and the population seems to be getting more diverse every year.
Based on your interests, it seems that Kelowna should have a fair amount to offer.
Good luck!

I keep my ring on all the time, except if I'm lifting weights. The knurling on the weights would chew it up. I tie the ring into the knot on my gym shoes so I don't lose it.
When I first got married, it was painful to swing a golf club while I had my ring on. Now my finger is so calloused and deformed that nothing bothers me.
Oh I also remove it if I'm getting a massage. This is a holdover from a Russian massage therapist who scolded me for not removing ALL my jewelry before the appointment.

I just discovered this subreddit. My big redemption was last summer, for my son's graduation.
We used Aeroplan points for the two of us to do biz class open-jaw to Vienna, back from Budapest to home via Amsterdam and Barcelona. We were served by Austrian, Swiss, and Air Canada. We were later told the agent made a mistake and this booking broke several Aeroplan rules (but the booking was still honoured).
In Amsterdam, we stayed two nights at the Renaissance Amsterdam (near the train station). We had an overnight trip in between, so this was two separate hotel stays in Amsterdam. Each time we were greeted, upgraded, and provided with a bottle of wine, a wedge of cheese, and some crackers in our room (which looked out over the rooftops of the old city). We also made use of the Elite lounge there. Most satisfying use of Bonvoy points to date.
I typically use the perks of my status, but save up the points. This is one time I cashed in points. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for both of us.

I've been working from home for a similar time frame. I would be willing to go back to an office.
With all the technology to connect you remotely, it's still not the same as face-to-face. You can get the work done, but the personal connection isn't the same.

In line with /u/badger_42's comment, there's another French soap to consider. Le Pere Lucien offers veggie soaps, including refills. Link is here. Cyril has started producing some tallow soaps lately so keep an eye out if you do order from him (in French, "suif" means "tallow" -- non-vegan).

The 6S is a great razor. The 6C / 2C is a great razor. Even OP here says that the 6T shaves really well. They have a guarantee.

I was a backer for the 6S. They shipped me a flawed 6S, then implemented a completely new manufacturing process (MIM) and sent me a second (perfect) razor. Kickstarter would have let them take the money and walk at any time. I still use the handle from the first.
I bought a Rockwell 6C. It's a great razor.
I backed the T based on my experience with the 6S. I could tell immediately it was an ambitious project, so I knew there would be drama.
I just got my shipping confirmation e-mail so I should see mine shortly. It's all guaranteed.

Kickstarter is supposed to be for dreamers backing other dreamers, providing capital that they otherwise would never get.
I've backed a kickstarter that produced exactly nothing. They kept my money. That's allowed.
This isn't ebay or amazon. Technically you're paying to participate in an experiment. There's no guarantee that the experiment will be a success.
Rockwell (and I'm sure other companies too) have blurred this by offering the product they're trying to produce as a reward. Rockwell goes a step farther by offering a satisfaction guarantee.
Any Rockwell backer can cancel their support at any time and get a full refund. Rockwell also has a track record to back their customer satisfaction guarantee.

I agree with your dad. If you don't like hair, shave it off.
Yes, i'ts a myth that shaving makes hair grow back more quickly. Personally I think this myth started because men start shaving as their puberty starts. So their hair growth is increasing at the same time they happened to start shaving.
If your eyebrows grow together in the middle, you should have that too. Shaving works.
