This article is a preprint and has not been peer-reviewed [what does this mean?]. It reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice.

It doesn't have to be ice cream. I splurged on a stuffie to snuggle as my treat (I have an immune deficiency, anxiety, and agoraphobia, so just leaving my house for any reason is kind of a big deal for me). My kids got to eat out after their shots (which is rare for us). Whatever it is, just reward yourself for the good job.

Must be self-published. No respectable editor would let this fiction full of plot holes go to print like this.

We had three apple trees and spent days cutting and drying chips only for them to be eaten as fast as we could make them. We never even had to can or freeze them for later.

This is semantics. In some contexts, warlock is used to mean a male witch whereas in contexts such as this, warlock is a specific class that is not gender restricted.

Of course, any MtG player should know the difference. This is just a troll.

Perhaps look up Office of Administrative Law for your area and see if any have a similar symbol anywhere on their website.

We had a 150 gallon fish tank that I had to get rid of when I was pregnant because I just couldn't stand the thing anymore. I miss it now.

In our house, if you don't like the dinner that was made for the family, you can make your own. Making two meals because one person can't deal with their own personal issues is absurd.

Is the early Christmas thing some sort of pandemic related psychosis? My kid and his girlfriend have already hung our Christmas lights and are playing Christmas music nonstop. They are also baking pies, which is nice, I guess, but it's getting old.

His gf asked if Christmas didn't seem festive this year and we were like, "It's September..."

Probably Office of Administrative Law, but we may need more context to know for certain. Is that a pin? Where did it come from?

If you have old cell phones, get the Alfred Home Security app to turn them into wireless cameras. You use your primary phone or a web browser to view them. Leave a light on somewhere so the phone camera has enough light to see by.

Make sure your CO detector is functional. If it's a ceiling mount, get one that plugs in to an outlet to ensure you aren't getting CO that just isn't making it up to the ceiling yet. It's a heavy gas and sinks low.

Much like the threat of quicksand, this was one of those impending dangers I expected to be a major issue in my lifetime after I had been told it as a child.

In North America this truck was called simply the Toyota Pickup, but in other countries it was called the Toyota Hilux, just FYI in case you happen upon a Hilux bed.

If you're in the US, have insurance, and need an epi injector, skip Epipen and get AuviQ. It's fully covered by insurance, is shaped more like a cigarette box so fits in pockets better, and has calm audio instructions. They have adult and child dosing and also send replacement reminders.

It has a window to check it. It's good 'til it's cloudy, so said my doctor before I switched to AuviQ and stopped worrying about it.

No Old Yeller? No Bridge to Terabithia? These are universal tear jerkers that we all can cry at.

I don't know how to combat that on a larger scale, but I respond to every single person I come across who says that bs on social media (mostly on Instagram). Many have been saying the vaccine is "experimental gene therapy and not a vaccine". Generally I start with the fact that the vaccine neither treats nor cures disease (which is what therapy is) and that it cannot alter DNA. Most often, they respond with the fact that the vaccine doesn't keep people from getting the disease, so, they surmise, it can't be a vaccine, in which case I respond:

You don't appear to understand how vaccines work. Vaccines act to kick your immune system into gear against a disease, which this one is proven to do like many vaccines that came before it (this is determined in Phase I trials). Vaccines do not and have not been some sort of magic shield wall that 100% prevents what it helps to protect you from. We have been able to eradicate or nearly eradicate diseases like polio and small pox in many countries due to herd immunity, which means enough people took the vaccines that the entire community was protected. Historically, that level of protection is reached by mandating the vaccine. So, yes, this is a vaccine that works in much the same way as previous vaccines but with a slightly different delivery mechanism.

So far, that has been the end of the conversation. Not a single one has responded to that. A few just straight up deleted the entire conversation or their own account. One reported my comment for bullying.

I'm not Australian, but I follow the Australia Academy of Science on Instagram and I love the posts they've been making comparing risks associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine to other common harmful events/substances. I (or somebody) need to make something like that for the Pfizer vaccine with US statistics.
