Shield belt and Frontline melee are incredibly strong, I would almost say mandatory. Decent armor and decent longsword.

The really important, pivotal mechanic is that pawns in melee cannot shoot.

You want your people with guns shooting.

You want your melee to keep the enemy from shooting. Most enemies that aren't specialized and aren't carrying melee weapons are terrible in melee, and skilled fighters will rip them to shreds.

My favorite part of dredd is that it's no big deal for him. This isn't some special ops secret mission, he's just a beat cop doing a pretty typical call.

I think that climate change is going to continue to cause drought and famine. Ecosystem collapse and unlivable temperatures will cause mass migration out of India and southeast Asia, and this migration and lack of food and clean water will lead to war.
