Well think about all the devices in your home that are on 24/7 even if you’re not using them. My ps5 is usually in low power mode when I’m away, but still technically on. Chromecasts and google home on 24/7. Just about everything is drawing some amount of power and potentially a fire risk.
Now if he’s seriously playing games 10-15 hours a day that’s a little extreme. I have my days but definitely not often.

Love it or hate it they put effort into cutting it such a weird way.

Don’t hate it, but definitely wish it was flush. The looks and practicality of that is worth a couple inches less room in the bed. I’m sure more options will show up soon. Cheaper too.

The majority aren’t questioning the decision to pull out. The fact that the country crumbled practically overnight and our intelligence was blindsided by this is what is rightly criticized. Biden was also VP for 8 years of this 20 year war so in no way should he be clueless or blameless.
I blame both sides for this shit show. Never should have gone in, and had plenty of opportunities to leave sooner.

Yep. They also can’t say for certain how many more patients will show up after they fill the last empty bed, if any. Other hospitals could be available, or other patients discharged shortly after.
Now if it’s the case that 10 people show up and there’s 5 beds at the time, yes they can and should prioritize. No one wants to be in the position of denying care if they don’t have to.
I just want unvaccinated patients to pay a large premium. End of the day all the majority of people care about is money, and insurance companies and hospitals have to be tired of paying out for anti-vaxxers.

My house my ac drain pipe connects to the French drain sump pump system. So mine runs a couple times a day because of that. Every 18 minutes would be very excessive though.
Might want to check the float switch and see if it’s set too low. Any wet spots in your yard, or sprinkler system nearby that could be draining your way?

100% those that do not have up to date vaccines should pay higher premiums. We do the same thing for smokers. It is a personal decision to not get vaccines (just like smoking), and those that do are statistically more likely to have higher healthcare expenses (just like smoking). I’m all for it.
I do not agree with denying coverage completely.

There are plenty of other diseases that kill, including the flu which has many similar symptoms, and is a perfectly valid question. The people that do die from the flu don’t care that it’s less lethal.
Not saying anyone should go to work or school sick, but to jump from no repercussions to attempted murder charges is crazy. Throw in a policy where being sick is unexcused and you’re basically asking people to do what we’re trying to avoid.

Good. While I’m not really in favor of vaccinated people being mandated to wear masks, I 100% support it for schools and those that are ineligible for the vaccine. Kids are germ magnets as it is, and with certainty 0% of them are vaccinated, so the decision to ban was completely asinine.

Couldn’t agree more. My neighbors dog rushed up to me yesterday, and given I don’t know the dog I couldn’t tell if it was just excited or wanted to bite me. Luckily the neighbor pulled him back in, but not easily as it was a large dog.
I used to have a neighbor as a kid that had multiple dogs chained up outside 24/7. Treated them absolutely horrible, and dogs were practically foaming at the mouth at anyone that walked down the street. It was so bad that going on walks I’d keep a knife on me just in case they got loose.
Moral of the story is control your damn dogs. I love dogs, but I don’t know the temperament of your dog and don’t want to find out the wrong way.

Just about all insurance policies charge a premium for smokers. The way I see it someone without up to date vaccines should pay a steep premium as well.

Couldn’t have picked a better title. They bred and encouraged all the lies and ignorance, and now that they lost the party can’t figure out how to bring their followers back to reality. Good luck to any level headed conservatives (yes they do exist) that have to try to contend to these voters.

So there is no restriction too strict? No cost too great? No line that can ever be crossed? Any freedom worth sacrificing if it means someone else is safer?

I mean to be fair they are releasing the F150 Lightning that is 100% electric, and the Maverick is a hybrid at its base model for under $20,000. They are still far from a substantial EV/hybrid fleet, but if they can warm up the truck market to it then they’ll certainly increase their offerings.
Their enthusiasm on EVs is lukewarm at best because the sales just aren’t there yet. Same reason they got rid of their sedan lineup even though they are easier to be fuel efficient…lack of sales.

Yeah well I don’t. I’m all for vaccines, but fuck this god damn government overreach. Spew all the data you want on how many lives this may save blah blah blah, but this is a blatant restriction of freedom and personal privacy that I can’t accept as the new normal. Temporary measure to prevent a healthcare system collapse, sure. Permanent way of life, fuck no.
For anyone saying I’m overreacting, when do these restrictions actually end? We all know covid in some capacity will always exist. What will be the next requirement or freedom restricted for the common good? Is there ever a point where a line has been crossed, and who determines where the line even is?

NTA. He’s not respecting your boundaries and giving you the professional privacy you need so you can work. Working from home is great since it cuts down on travel and you have flexibility at times to do random tasks at home, but there’s time where work needs your full undivided attention. If he and your kids can’t understand that then I’m not sure what other option there is to take. He’s putting your job in jeopardy and you need to lay down the law.
If they need you while you’re working he can just send you a text and you can reply yes or no. Unless there’s a true emergency going on they need to act as if you’re not there.

Umm what? Where in the world did you hear that? Do you have any actual data proving that all or a majority of renters signed contracts under duress, or did you hear one sob story and decided to assume that related to everyone?
I’ve rented at three different places in the past eight years, and not once was I under duress. Would I have been homeless otherwise? I guess technically if I chose not to buy or rent anywhere. That’s just how that works. If I needed transportation but refused to buy/rent a car I would by definition be lacking transportation. If I wanted a cupcake but refused to bake/purchase a cupcake I would by definitely be hungry. See how silly your argument is?
Two of the three places I rented at I truly wanted to rent. I had no desire to buy a house when I knew I was likely to move in a couple years. The third rental buying was a thought, but wanted to see how the community was first. Being able to rent was beneficial to myself and many other people. There are scummy landlords for sure, but that doesn’t make all landlords scummy or the idea of renting bad. Renting is great for those that don’t want the commitment of a home, or don’t want to deal with maintenance. It has a purpose. Those that rent properties out deserve to make money (to an extent) just like any other profession that provides a product or service.

COMMENT 25d ago
What the fuck are you smoking dude? Renting is a legitimate business and every single tenant agreed to the terms. Many people even prefer to rent because it removes the responsibility of home maintenance and the hassle of buying and selling. Regardless your opinion is just wrong.

You are working overtime to defend him. I’m all for helping renters. I’m not for a president extending eviction moratoriums indefinitely. The Supreme Court, you know the group that decides what’s constitutional or not, clearly stated the same thing.
It’s not like this ultimately helps the vast vast majority of renters. The rent still has to be due eventually. For many several months or even a years worth. He’s kicking the can down the road at best.

My house gets cat hair everywhere. Even places the cat never goes. I swear it multiplies when I look the other way.
Agree that shouldn’t let cats around electronics when you see it. Preferably have them elevated or in an enclosed space. Also vacuum the house a bit. Would love to know what actually caused this because no household device should explode from overheating.
