Financially stable people shouldn't get reservation, even if they're from the lower caste. And you'll be surprised to know how many people get reservations by forging income documents. Giving reservations to IITs and NITs mainly serves to improve on the economical front, less so on the social front. Just because aa lower caste student gets reservation doesn't mean he'll not face discrimination where he otherwise would have.
