Same goes for an iPad. I’d probably just strap a keyboard case on it or something so at least you can still admire its beauty from the side or when it’s unfolded into its laptop form, so to speak.

Oh and about that case. I had a 2012 MacBook Air before my current 2019 15” Pro and I did put a case on it. Nothing fancy, just an average $20 plastic case I got on Amazon, and even though it felt somewhat thin and light on its own, boy was it heavy in action. That’s another quarter to half a pound added to a 3-pound machine.

Warranty policies vary from country to country. I swapped out everything — from the fans and bottom chassis to a custom logic board, everything but the screen — without spending a nickel. Nicks and scratches could be a pain in the butt but as long as you don’t drop it from waist height and leave a massive dent, normal wear and tear are just fine by me.

I gotta warn you with that dock tho bro. Mad looking as it is, try not to plug in too much stuff at the same time in or it may very well overload your Thunderbolt controller. I burned mine a while back. Had to get a whole logic board replacement (since the controllers are soldered to the board), which would’ve cost me a fortune if it wasn’t for the Apple Care coverage

I’d rather just get Apple Care+ and get free repairs in the rare case that I drop it. MacBooks are designed to be thin and light and that’s the last thing you want to take away from them

I don’t know what the guy was smoking but I’ll have an ounce of whatever he’s having

It’ll fit. O it’ll fit.

Exactly, which is why I’m tucking it away. Neat and tidy. It’s there when you need it, and not when you don’t, simple as that. Sure it blocks some of the view momentarily but the next second voilà it’s gone and you can get right back to work. If you have to see the dock all the time but still don’t want it to get in the way, then I guess shrinking it down and leaving all the empty space on the sides is the only way to go. You just can’t have’em all.

I do have to admit though that despite my utter distaste for Windows the taskbar actually makes more sense than the dock. Takes up less space, has a clear relationship with the other elements such as the windows, just ugly af is all.
