This is close to the feeling that I might just have a gun in my bag at the airport when I do not own any guns.

This is what happens when the Cabbage Patch Kids aren’t picked as babies. Xavier Roberts was on to something it would seem.

Probably easier than moving to Yemen, what with how it is with international travel these days.

This reminds me of a girl in high school who was always very tan. Our teacher said something about protecting herself from cancer down the line and she replied that there would a cure by then. Welp, 30 years later and still no cure!

Exactly. OP himself is only 12 years away from the ripe old age of 52. Tick-tock!

I’m not in Wake Forest but my sister-in-law lives there. From what I’ve seen it’s nice. There’s a small “quaint”downtown area but also bigger shopping areas with your Targets and Walmart’s, Lidl, etc. You’re close enough to Raleigh to take advantage of the medium big city stuff like an art museum, natural history museum etc. Lots of outdoor stuff to do, hiking, boating, etc. If your office is going to be in the Cary/Raleigh area, Wake Forest is probably cheaper. WF is north of Raleigh. If you need to be on the southern side, I think Holly Springs is another town where you could get more bang for your buck.

I feel like Florida is just Mississippi’s older half-sister who’s loud and perky in her hot pink feather boas and too high heels but once she stops bouncing around, they have a lot more in common that they think.

For a second I thought this was going to be the “I have a particular set of skills” monologue from Taken.

Industry is definitely better. All pharma clinical trials have to have a safety monitoring and while the medical monitor is often an MD, lots of safety is made up of PharmDs. You can also get into medical writing, clinical trial leader, etc. Big upside (for some) is that you’re not working with the general public.

I do think Kidman was a much more elegant Mrs. Coulter than Ruth Wilson but that may be because I saw the Kidman movie before reading the book. Loved the movie when it came out but now that I’ve read the book with my daughter, I hate the movie, except for Kidman’s Coulter.

Me too. Even though we have all of the seasons on dvd, if it was ever showing on BBC America, I felt compelled to watch it.
Whenever there’s an AskReddit about what show or game would you want the experience of seeing for the first time again, it’s ALWAYS BSG for me, especially the mini-series.

Well over 40 and I separate based on “dirtiness” level. Socks and underwear get washed together, tops and pants together. Although with two 7yo boys, I assume their pants are little peed on and they go in with the underwear.

My mom got scammed by someone claiming to be from the credit card company. As soon as she hung up she thought wait, that didn’t seem right. Called the cc company, wrote a letter detailing what had happened. Long story short, over a year later, the FBI flew her out to LA to testify against the guy and he’s in jail now.

I know I’m late to the party but this makes me smile; companionship and affirmation, sounds like you’re perfect for each other :)
