Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake

All of this is why the movie didn't really hit the mark with me. Good atmosphere and effects, but I didn't appreciate throwing all of the monsters in there when they were very specific to James' story/psyche, and kind of reversing Alessa's story. I get people saying it's the best game adaptation, but that's an incredibly low bar right now. They should have modeled the story after 2 instead of tossing it all together.

I thought he'd at least play a few games before something like this happened, although I was hoping for a solid year. Curious if this will be the end?

We didn't have one; we had two firsts and didn't pick again until the 5th.

I've been meaning to ask about tattoo shops for a bit, so thanks for taking care of that. You can rent kayaks and canoes down by the river, although the water is kind of gross. Take a look here for city-sponsored events. Lots of college-type bars for nightlife, unless you just want to get drunk at home in which case there are plenty of liquor stores because ND has plenty of those. Turtle River State Park isn't isn't far and is nice for hikes during the non snowy as shit months. But we do have a lot of flat land for cross-country skiing and places from which to rent equipment. This may sound kind of lame, but I personally appreciate our library, although I'll be honest and say it doesn't necessarily offer more than other libraries, it's just nice nice be somewhere quiet where you aren't expected to buy something.

The town kind of goes nuts for college hockey in the winter, so that's a pretty big social event. Winter dominates here, so you have to plan around that a lot (though I'm sure you're used to some semblance of that in Chicago, just more to do there). Stay warm and have fun!

I couldn't make it past a chapter of The Road because there were no commas. Every sentence was like this. Then another sentence. Followed by another short sentence. The story may be great, but I couldn't get past the format.

Yeah I got that too. Better be some sort of error because a year out is fucking ridiculous.

Good looking out!

I would be curious how much of this is related to boomers retiring. My folks moved to Queen Creek a few years back, and their neighborhood is almost entirely populated with people not only the same age, but he grew up with several people now living on his block.

Wow, Richard Marx really shot full court.

Did you know she's married to Richard Marx now? I just found that out a few months back.

Normally I just let people say their dumb shit, but he inherited a team with Jeremy Kerley as the #1 receiver and Brian Hoyer was the QB. I'm sure the Seahawks would be playoff bound if Wilson went down, right?

Yeah, we share a ton of food culture (and culture in general) with MN. Lefsa, lutefisk, hotdishes, all big in ND. Whoever downvoted you must not understand.

I certainly wasn't trying to be a dick, just clarifying in case they didn't read it (which happens a lot). You're absolutely right, of course, but I don't think any of those guys are going to recoup what we gave up for Lance, at least nobody we'd really be willing to part with (mainly Warner and Bosa). I also want to clarify that I don't think we need to get those picks back because I feel (hope) Trey will live up to it.

I would bet the crashes are fixed by now, but yeah I just can't bring myself to care about it anymore. Graphics are very nice. Honestly though, I really do think RDR2 ruined open world games for me because that world feels so alive. So I'm kind of holding it to a high standard, but again, they did hype it up to be the next big thing in gaming. I definitely want to try it when the upgrade comes, but at this point who even knows if/when that will happen?

I have rarely run into a glitch I didn't find humorous, and CP made me chuckle quite a bit. I've had random cars drop in and explode, disembodied cigarettes, a literal ton of clipping (a lot of dead bodies half inside walls), and a few others, but they never really bothered me. The crashes made the game almost unplayable, and I would still load it up, but overall it just felt lackluster, like the heart was missing. I expected more of a GTA world and got more of a Far Cry reskin (in my opinion, of course). But to be fair they did market the game as being much more. So the glitches to me aren't much more than funny, but the programming and crashes really did me in.

I enjoy the House on Haunted Hill remake, but it has a lot of goofy ideas going on. Kind of a shame because you could take it and delete/rewrite a handful of scenes and make it so much better, but yeah it fell into a pit with a lot of other 90's horror. I feel the same way about Thirteen Ghosts where I enjoy watching it and the idea is really cool, but there really is some shitty writing and acting in there.

I don't know if you read the article, but Lynch basically said no, he wants to keep them around.

I play on PS5 and have had quite a few glitches and tons of crashes (at some point I started saving the glitches to make a goofy album). I fully believe there are people who haven't seen these things (unlike some others here), but it's crazy to me how experiences can be so different. I've heard plenty of people say "well it's only on older consoles," which is silly because they've obviously read or heard about it happening on newer consoles of they're in this sub, but I've also seen plenty of statements about PC having issues. Really weird.

I play on PS5 and have had quite a few glitches, but nothing as bad as the crashing every 1.5 hours or so. I haven't played since about June so those might be fixed, but I also wasn't really enjoying the game overall,.

Hey I was also 12 when I got into NIN, but it was 1993 for me. Although I haven't felt this way about NIN, I lost the spark for plenty of other bands and other forms of media over the years. It just happens sometimes. However, I do hope you are finding that feeling via something else though, because that's the most important thing to me. We lose interest in plenty of things over time, or they just don't fit us anymore, and new things come in and take their place. Maybe one day they will make music that you enjoy again, but I'm sure (I hope) other music has helped fill that void.
