Got a used 2060 for €250

r/AskReddit 22d ago

You can go back to any point in time and take a single picture that you can then bring back to today. What do you take a picture of?

Il modulo di consenso posso portarlo già compilato o bisogna compilarlo per forza il giorno del vaccino?

My 2060 is now constantly stuck at 1365MHz. Great job NVIDIA

Edit: did a clean install of the driver using DDU and now it seems like it's idling as expected

Unfortunately I deleted them after processing the final images since they take up an insane amount of disk space.

I have the same scope but don't get results near this good

This could be down to a lot of things, like seeing (especially right now since Jupiter and Saturn are really close to the horizon which makes it almost impossible to get good footage), soft focus or even the camera you're using. It's worth noting that these were taken under incredibly steady seeing conditions and even then they're nowhere close to the quality this scope can actually offer.

Unfortunately since I haven't been able to get good results constantly myself, the only two tips I can give you are: make sure your focus is as good as you can get it (SharpCap and FireCapture both have tools to help you with that) and just keep trying and experimenting in general, eventually you'll start figuring things out as you go

EDIT: Forgot to add: make sure your collimation is good, don't use the scope inside your house since you're guaranteed to get terrible seeing and let the scope get down to temperature when you bring it outside (this can take up to an hour, so keep that in mind)

Perfettamente d'accordo.

If even the newer cards are struggling, I can't imagine how bad the experience on old consoles must be

Makes sense. Hopefully it's just a matter of bad optimization that can be solved with future patches.

How's the 2060 faring?

I'm debating whether to get a 2060/5600XT now or wait for an eventual 3050/whatever AMD equivalent release.

I've had a 760 for the longest time and I'm kinda starving for some gameplay that's over 40 FPS

Thoughts?

By the way, I'm targeting 1080p60 (1440p at best if I decide to get a better monitor in the future)

Thanks!

I had to cancel an order for the same item (bought from a different seller) just a week before.

I really didn't want to cancel two orders back to back using "Other reasons" since, I assume, the responsibility would fall on me and not the seller.

It's a CMOS astrophotography camera that I assume is sold on a wholesale basis since I've seen it branded with like 6 different brand names.

The only places where I could find it in stock were eBay, AE and Wish, and they all shipped from China.

They don't need you to forget for months. They only need you to forget for fifteen days;

I mean, not really though? You effectively have 95 days after the order has been shipped to open a dispute, so that's a lot of time to remember that order you placed 2 months ago that hasn't been delivered yet.

if it didn't work and work well enough to be profitable, they wouldn't waste the time (and the risk of being removed from AE's platform) doing it.

Yeah, fair enough.

Except the reason I'm buying this from China is because it's literally unavailable anywhere else. I know the risks that come when you buy things from AE, I just had no choice.

And to think that I needed it delivered before the end of this month..

Appreciate the help, I'll most likely proceed as you said, thank you.

1

COMMENT Oct 05 '20

Of course they assume that.

That's naive of them imo. I'm fairly positive no one is going to miss the fact that their package hasn't been delivered after a month or two of waiting.

COMMENT Oct 05 '20

Well, that fucking sucks.

What do they hope to achieve with this anyway? Do they think people won't notice?
