I’d rather BSD remain in a tiny niche than become another cesspool like Linux. Electron is horrid.

I donate to Slackware Linux, NetBSD, and the Trinity Desktop Environment. Because I use and rely upon them.

Allowing the systemd virus to infect BSD would be a huge mistake. Poettering's garbage should not be welcomed here. Application developers should simply quit being lazy and requiring systemd as a dependency.

I live half an hour north of the border. Stuff’s cheap as dirt if you know where to shop.

We keep El Yucateco, Cholula, Louisiana, Tabasco, Huichol, Valentina, and Tapatío.
Also often keep a more home style jalapeño and tomatillo or chile de árbol salsa. Once in awhile the molcajéte will show up with various salsas in it, or whatever was left over from the last trip to the taqueria.
I could go for some chile morita salsa. And carnitas.

I like that it feels like UNIX. Especially that it encourages you to compile your own packages and is free of that dumpster fire known as systemd.
I also like that it doesn’t hold your hand, that emacs and all dev tools can be installed at initial install.
Wouldn’t want it to become “easier”. I want a distribution unapologetically geared towards advanced users.

One thing and one thing alone: the lack of a release schedule for stable releases and defined lifecycle of same. Five years is too long, and -current isn’t really that robust. Literally the only thing keeping me from daily driving Slackware. I love everything else about it. The only Linux distribution that still feels like Unix, and that’s precisely what I want.

I am in zone 8a, and have a 1200ft2 lawn comprised of common bermudagrass (sunny areas) and fescue (under the trees) that I have been trying to push and get established this year. We are now in rainy season, and it has brought out thousands of instances of cyclachaena xanthiifolia (carelessweed) and tribulus terrestris (puncture vine). I've just been mowing it short, but I'm wondering if there's something else I should be doing/putting into the lawn to head this off. My whole neighborhood is infested with both species, so it'll be a constant fight. Can I rescue?

I may have some spare CPUs available in a few weeks when I go to my storage unit. Will keep you in mind.
I always get memory and IDPROM replacements from MemoryXSun

One of these functions as my main web server running Solaris 7. Another one as the NIS master for my home network. Love these machines!

I use LibreNMS to monitor my home network, which uses a mix of Cisco, Brocade, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Arista gear.

Seconded. Just added Home Assistant to my network and would like to do the same thing.

Agreed. And even Google has gotten somewhat unreliable about honoring quotes. I used to also be able to use plus and minus operators to include/exclude specific things.
Either way, "Blender 2.9" should ONLY return results that have that exact string in that exact order, or no results at all.

I want something that mixes the F122, the DEC LK401, and the Sun Microsystems UNIX layout. Need to come up with a way to reconcile the three. It's on my to-do list.
And then, someone needs to manufacture/sell new beamspring switches. Or at least discrete capacitive buckling springs.

When I see a post here with a keyboard that has a numpad and normal layout spacing, I upvote it.
I’m a simple man.
