Yeah but did you do it with king Kong's dick in your ear? You're not a real gamer until you do it with king Kong's dick in your ear.

Same suggestion. Supersampling is the answer

You're not wrong. Traveling is the single worst, most boring and annoying thing to do in this game. And that's the majority of what you do.

Try fully restarting the game. If that doesn't fix it you may have to get a new ship. Easy build is not a great way to build as it is pretty buggy right now sadly. You can get a new laborer (assuming that's the ship) by redoing the repair tutorial

Not to mention all promotion policies and pay raises are based in laws and policies that are set in stone and easily seen. You're not gonna have any of them not give you a pay increase if you meet the requirements (which happens a LOT in the private sector)

It's partially true. The government has at least one program that I'm a part of called the Scholarship for Service where they pay your college tuition in return for working a federal job in the area of cyber security. The length of employment needs to be the same length of time you spent in education. Frankly it's a great deal as far as I'm concerned because cyber experts are needed everywhere.
As for the pay, yes the base pay is less but CISA for instance gives 30% salary bonus to cyber professionals who hold a current certificate in certain areas (like the Security+ which any cyber professional will have). Yes they're only allowed to pay you based on your GS rank (which will start at 9 in this area) but the bonus definitely makes up for the difference. Add to that getting GS11 in one year is very easy and you're looking at 120k a year plus great benefits, no overtime, and very good retirement. On paper a fed cyber security job is worse but in actuality it is very competitive.

I don't even think trenches are that stupid. Yeah they aren't great most of the time but fuck me trying to get ambush position on a tank or something without them. They see me from miles away.

I can definitely see some uses. Put a ton of those on a ship and the sheer volume of fire will chase things away. Very cool

This game is "OOPS, ONLY BRIDGE FIGHTS!" right now. I hate it. There are too many chokepoints. Bridge fights suck the big one and it's almost not worth playing until both sides tech up and something can actually happen.

That seems very restrictive. I don't mind it being primarily on moons and then rarely elsewhere but I don't even know how to get to the moons and I'm pretty sure most people don't.

I'm not sure I implied the savings were that good. They are good but it seems to be about 30% to 40% savings from the original assembly price. Still very good. Also the numbers I gave above were just pulled out of my ass. I look it up when the time comes.

As in selling on the auction house? Generally it costs less on the AH than how much it reduces it by for assembly. For instance if you have a piece you can buy on the AH for 2k the general experience I've had is it will reduce the assembly price by 2.3k. I turn the ore into the components when possible though that's mainly how I do it

Final tally - Using the ore to build the items prior to buying it saved me 300k on a 600k ship. I built most of the large items, I didn't build any beams or plates since I can't tell which were used.

COMMENT 22d ago
This is 100% correct. While you can't view what specific beams and plates and stuff, you can easily see crates, engines, other larger parts. If you can craft the part and have the ore, it's a good idea to do so. I've cut down the cost of a big ship by over 200k so far crafting engines and crates.

Where is the Magnus? I wanted the tadpole but it has a X ore requirement which I guess isn't in the game right now so I'm looking for an upgrade from the trifin.

Suggestion We need a way to see all components of a ship

As far as I can tell it can't be traded that way but maybe I put it in the trade incorrectly

I am currently having this issue and have a battery set up on the network as you suggested. Everything seems to be assigned a unique name and has an ID but the MFC does not change any values even though I can see the FCU changing value for "forward thrust" for instance. Any other suggestions? I also notice that each entry for ThrusterPowerLevel is maxed out in the MFC and does not start at 0. Is that normal?
EDIT: Found the issue. I pressed the "Show detached objects" on the top bar and it showed my FCU as detached for some reason. Smacked some bolts into it from below and now it works perfect. The durability tool did not display it as detached.
