You forgot to mention how he dealt with the anti-maskers.

if anybody had any advice on how to set a firm boundary without her perceiving it as an attack on her?
The easy part is being firm. The hard part is her not perceiving it as an attack. She will perceive however she thinks it suits her to perceive it. Be prepared to cut her off.

Unless it's a public school in the United States, there's nothing you can do, legally speaking.
If it's just a song, my advice would be to not worry about it. One song isn't really indoctrination. If it helps, I went to (ostensibly) Christian schools for grades 3-12, didn't have any effect on me.

When (if) we ever develop Fusion power, we should Tase all of Florida based on the low cost alone.

I love the J-pop/Shibuya band Pizzicato Five but I can't imagine many other people liking them. Which is weird because imho Yasuharu Konishi (composition, bass, keyboards, production) is a musical genius. The singer Maki Nomiya is also awesome. They ended up being the only two full time members.
This is the song that originally knocked me right out: 20th Century Girl. I would listen to it many times in a row at high volume.

I remember the first few times I heard Sandstorm by Darude. I thought it was the most depressing music ever, because of the electronic (i.e. soulless) sound of the keyboards, together with no vocals. Fortunately that feeling has passed. Listening to it was almost scary at first. I used to actually suffer from depression, but that was 35 years ago.
The song When the Tigers Broke Free by Pink Floyd affects me deeply because of the last line: And that's how the High Command took my daddy from me. I'm English and although I didn't lose my father to war, he was very aloof and seemed to dislike me my whole life. He "took himself away from me". Roger Waters wrote the song from experience for The Wall but the band left it off the album because they felt it was too personal to RW.
The song Taxi by Harry Chapin gets to me because in one way, it reflects my own life. My ambition was to be a pilot but I ended up driving a taxi, like Harry Chapin. So the lines, And me, I'm flying in my taxi / Taking trips and getting stoned / I go flying so high when I'm stoned is about me as well as Mr. Chapin.

I was so busy watching the video that I barely noticed the music. Good video though.

I should have said "common for even top quality posts", that's all. You do seem to be inordinately concerned about this. I've edited the comment to suit you better. Anything else?

My comment was an off-topic one, so your reply is equally or more off-topic. I was addressing the 'meta' aspect of the comment I replied to. I'm not really interested in what you have to say, but thanks for your concern.

Bret & Heather's book, A Hunter-Gatherer's Guide to the 21st Century: Evolution and the Challenges of Modern Life is officially for sale this upcoming Tuesday the 14th. The book is the central topic of the podcast.
It has been selling in advance orders very well. Everyone should read this book. It's better than continuing to listen to CNN & FOX :)

Ya know what's weird?
From 1947 to 1991 America embroiled itself in a "Cold War" with the USSR, which only ended with the dissolution of the USSR.
But now, it's China. A communist regime that very obviously seeks world domination of a sort that is AT LEAST as bad as anything the USSR hoped for. They are firmly against religion, just like the USSR was. They oppress their own people, just like the USSR did. And now they have knowingly and deliberately poisoned the world with a pandemic (when they learned about COVID, they shut down domestic air travel while allowing international world travel to continue unabated. They cannot claim that they did not know what they were doing - it's too damn simple and obvious.
And no one says or does a single thing about it. I for one cannot believe it's just because China supplies American Walmarts with billions of trinkets. We'd all survive pretty well without those trinkets.

For one thing, it's in the Bible that God told man that the earth was all his to do with as he wished.
Genesis 1:26
Fortunately for me, I'm not a creep :)
