Came to question the phrasing as well... but also, he's on the inside of the building here. That blue door, at the end... Super door or whatever? It's got the panic hardware on the inside of it. That part on the right (stubby bit near the frame) houses the latch and level crap that gets retracted when you push the "panic bar" inward.

It's a simple leverage machine that pulls in the latch. They make these electronic, or manual and there are maybe 8 screws total that hold the cover on. Pop off that cover and you are staring at the guts of the lock. You can use one finger to push in the level and open the door, I've done it.

This is, of course, barring any other means of securing the door, like a dead bolt keyed from the outside, floor stops, or magnetic holds, etc...

However, in my experience, this lock is usually it with a "tamper plate" on the outside to prevent people from using a credit card to do what I mentioned above... but from the outside. They don't even put tamper proof screws on the cover plates of them. It's "special order" for tamper hardware... to "secure" your fucking building. Buffet style might not be the best for every industry... just put in the tampers /rant

We might not say it often, but Thank you. I wave at the garbage people and try to sign "thank you" (it's loud, you can't hear me and no one likes to get yelled at, even if its' compliments, it's startling). This place would be a shit pile with y'all.

  • They have little clue how the whole thing functions and stick to key talking points that worked on the older generations, when they could trust each other to report the truth. Not anymore, it's too profitable to lie.
• Extreme, fringe examples that back their claims.
  • "Retail" destroying "pension funds" of 'real working Americans'. Fuck you. That shit might have worked IF WE HAVE FUCKING PENSIONS ANYMORE! THOSE WERE STOLEN DECADES AGO WHEN YOU BLAMED TEACHERS.
• Loopholes and sidestepping for them, not us.
  • The rules don't apply to those that write them.
