Yeah, if you're working with an older codebase, you probably will. It'll be easy to figure out how they work based on the existing code though, so not really worth worrying about until you end up in that situation

Yeah, and the very next reply after me wasting my time on it would be "that's not funny." Leaving me in the pointless position of having to debate whether or not something is funny.

This is an useless perspective. "Know your enemy" means knowing their strengths as well as their weaknesses

I'm not going to waste time digging through his awful speeches to find you jokes. I know when I'm debating with someone who is completely unwilling to change their opinion. Nothing I say or do will convince you. And certainly not something as subjective as humor

He's doing both. Look, I know it's easier to imagine that he is this perfectly evil imbecile with no likable qualities, but life isn't a movie. Trump is probably more socially adept than 90% of redditors. He spent his life socializing to a degree most of us couldn't even imagine.

He's a scumbag, racist, piece of shit, but he's also damn good at some things. He managed to become president of the country. That's not something just anyone can pull off. Obviously.

All you have to do is watch the video in the link to see that isn't true.

Reddit likes to frame him as a complete buffoon, but he is a lifelong conman. He is damn good at manipulating people. And honestly, he has a decent sense of humor. There's a reason so many people have fallen for his shit

Yup, we made the mistake of not seeing him as a threat the first time around. He absolutely is still a dangerous political force

Lol, I'm from the Midwest and there were a couple of them in our small town

I've seen a lot of homeless people here. They just don't let them set up tent cities. And the women living here are all seem like suburban mom types

COMMENT 23d ago

My experience out here has been the exact opposite.

Nearly 40 and I have far less patience for religion than I ever had as a teen. Back then it felt good to rebel. Now it's because I'm disgusted to be surrounded by grown adults in positions of power who believe in fairy tales. I've also seen far too many of the devastating consequences of letting people believe in magical nonsense like that.

I definitely remember some dumbass thirteen year old boy talking about that shit when I was in school too. Told us you could buy it at the gas station

COMMENT 24d ago

Yup, final fantasy record keeper does it too.

That would be a far better option than tanking your entire business. And I'm sure most of the models making bank on the site would be more than willing to have their age verified.

COMMENT 25d ago

When have corporate executives ever gone to jail for something like that?

3

COMMENT 25d ago

True, but that might be a wash when you consider the added complexity and database hackiness needed to ignore validation for in-progress rows

2

COMMENT 25d ago

There have been breakthrough cases and a negative test at an earlier time doesn't mean they don't have it now. It's much safer, but not entirely safe.

COMMENT 25d ago

She probably unmatched because it was an old joke, your delivery was awkward as hell, and jokes are absolutely shit as conversation starters. At least follow it up with something she can have a conversation with you about.

2

COMMENT 25d ago

I saw it on reddit within the past couple weeks. Probably where op got it from

COMMENT 25d ago

Save yourself some headache and just save the drafts as JSON in your db, if you must store them there at all.

4

COMMENT 25d ago

Damn, not a single one of 'em. We need a plan to sex this place up

COMMENT 25d ago

It wasn't just the employees. They stayed open all but one month of the pandemic.

It is broken though. Most people just think the buttons mean "I like/dislike this!" So they'll upvotes things in the wrong sub, terrible art, music and photography, and blatant lies or misinformation as long as the content makes them feel good in some way. Upvotes/downvotes are supposed to make the best content rise to the top, not the most likable content.
