Of course, and vaccination remains a priority, but we don't always get what we want and often have to accept undesirable realities. In the case of this nurse, they cannot control vaccination rates but they can be there to connect families before death which is better than them dying alone. People dying from preventable ilnesses is not a new concept. Some people still smoke cigarettes for example. COVID is just a higher volume and frequency and it's wearing down frontline health workers.

The people who created government are gone. Now it's running itself. The purpose and intent of government and the various roles within it, has been lost. It's a headless beast out of control.

This one gets me too. Talented people are the rarer minority. The rest of us, the majority, are just average. Celebrate and accept our average-ness and judge humanity not by the best of us but by the worst of us.

Australian highschools embrace the concept that many students just aren't on a pathway to university. Either because they can't academically or don't want to. In grade 10 these students are prepared for the vocational education system where they will learn job ready skills and trades. None are brand specific but then again we don't have the demand for Amazon's warehousing methods.
