I still use old school Arctic Silver V and never had any issues.

Do you ever vacuum your house?

I have two Roombas (clones) that clean on autopilot. PS4 Pro never went jet engine.

Volvo 242s are awesome.

I had the coveted 1984.5 244 Ti and it was an epic driver's car. My favorite European grand touring car until I bought my Porsche 944.

I currently drive a Porsche Cayman and a very pimped out Volvo XC70 with bigger turbocharger, V70R fuel system, ECU tune and high flow exhaust.

I may never buy a PS5. I had a PS1 and a PS2. I skipped the PS3.

Then, I waited until late 2019 and finally bought a PS4 Pro for the exclusives. With a fast SSD, I will have the best of the PS4 generation for quite some time.

I might wait for the PS6. Maybe we can actually buy a PSVR3 with that one.

Half of Reddit are children and another quarter are angsty incels.

If they haven't learned how adult relationships work by now, they sure won't by spending their lives on videogame forums.

It is an amazing achievement.

I enjoyed HZD better, as so many of the environments there I hve lived in, and camped, skied, mountain biked and motorcycled. It was home to me, and so well done. The sunset through Delicate Arch in Canyonlands is so perfectly crafted.

RDR2, for me, was a very well built world with a game that got progressively more boring.

I never tired of the world in HZD, Death Stranding and Days Gone.

I still play Death Stranding, just to wander the mountains.

I enjoyed the bayou hillbillies and their sequences. Felt very Pulp Fiction.

Totally recommended.

I went to Chamonix for my 40th Birthday. I had Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame at the top of the Aiguille du Midi.

I stepped outside the fencing on the knife edge, wearing only hiking shoes. One of the scariest things I ever did. You would have a panicked slide down 500 feet of icepack, unable to stop until you launched over the 800 foot sheer rock wall. Then it would get sticky.

Care to share how you found your home rental in Cham?

I'm the same way. However, I need to remind myself that I asked for help not in growing the accounts, but in protecting them intelligently. In this market, it is a false confirmation that you could do better in SPY or VTSAX. Sure, you can, but that does not create greater protection against downturns. It just floats you on the market, on a rudderless raft. Fine if you don't downs as strong as the ups.

I wanted to take my investments to the long game retirement phase, which meant handing over the keys so that I wouldn't drunk drive in search of faster gains. My gains aren't so strong, but as the world experiences greater strife and turmoil, I expect that these efforts in building a moat around my finances will eventually be warranted. I had 30 years of driving my own finances, and I pretty well f*&ked it up.

I tried. A robo advisor did nothing to advise me and reallocate my portfolio for my goals.

I needed a human to do that.

Currently, I am employing Vanguard's high net worth advisory service. At least for Year One, I find it worth its cost.

That sounds great. I liquidated my house in order to fuel the nest egg investment. I don't want to own anything for a while. I'll be waiting for the real estate bubbles to burst around the world before investing in real estate again. But, I love the concept of renting in PT and France, as well as Mexico.

Where are you staying to ski? I have been to France and Italy several times, but always in summers. I fantasize about Valloire and La Grave. I'm sure that Bourg St. Maurice and Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d'Huez would be fine for a season.

Yep, I tried Uncharted and went "Nope."

Naughty Dog games just aren't for me.

Yet, I thought Bend Studios hit it out of the park with Days Gone. I'd trade all Naughty Dog games for Days Gone 2.

Excellent, thank you.

I spent a Christmas week in Puebla and really liked it. I don't need beach, but my wife likes water access. I prefer being cool in the mountains. Drivable access between both would be nice.

I survive Tamaulipas in the motorcycle. Other riders I had talked to got mugged around the same time, being in the wrong neighborhood.

I'm very interested in exploring the wine region of Monterrey. I am a wine making assistant, now, and a very interested in what they do to make world class Cabernets.

I appreciate your insights.

Serious question: you can only use the Gen 1 PSVR with PS4 Pro, though, right?

Can't use an Oculus product, and PSVR2 won't backdate to PS4 Pro (I'm assuming).

What's the best option out there for a PS4 Pro?

COMMENT 1d ago

I just can't believe that we can't get a basic PSVR baseline kit for $200 anymore. I don't want to pay $400 just to try it out.

I keep wanting to do this. I have a full G29 setup and a new in box stand for the controls, but nowhere to set it up and no time.

If I were doing it with a chair, I would go to a junkyard and find an old Porsche or maybe Mazdaspeed 3 or GTI. Pull the chair and rails and mount it on board. Nothing feels like a sports car seet like a sports car seat. I totally wish I had bought a pair of 944 seats when I had the chance (back when I had my 944). They are the right combo of cheap and supportive.

I quit TLoU 1 after about three hours.

Just hated the controls, never enjoyed the structure. Left for HZD and never looked back.

Interestingly, my PS4 pro with SSD plays DBH perfectly. Stunning and flawless.

It can't play Heavy Rain at all. Jerky, almost zero character control, glitching. Unplayable.

So, I have no idea.

I was all geared up to try to score one of these bundles for $299 on Black Friday, 2019.

But, having lost out on BF deals and the checkout rat race, I chickened out and bought a new Pro with clear crystal secondary controller for $264 a few days before.

Death Stranding became my favorite game, so it would have been nice to have the limited edition. Congratulations.

If you can look poor on paper, and don't live in a GOP Red State shithole, you can get Medicaid for the time you are in the US. Healthcare outside of the mafia controlled US for-profit industry is cheap elsewhere. Just pay as you go.

America's number one product is fear. It keeps people in place and ensures revenue for the criminals fleecing the sheep. "Oh, no, you can't go abroad, the world is soo scary and dangerous!" Nevermind that you're more likely to get shot in a Walmart in the US than almost anywhere else on the planet. I've been in Eastern European civil war and the Darien Gap, Culiacan, Mexico and all over South America. Never have I been as close to mass murder as I am in the Western US on a daily basis.

Great list and response, thanks for your insights.

I definitely have felt a lot of discrimination from being a tall white American male in Asia. I knew people in Bali who were really connected or married into the local community, and you could get 10-year leases on houses for $500 A YEAR! But, you were encouraged to invest in new kitchens, pool, modernizing, etc. Even if you spent $5000 to upgrade the house, and $5000 to live there for ten years, your $80 cost for housing each month is insane. Get a cook/housekeeper for $100 a month, life is golden.

Can I ask roughly with nothing personally identifiable where you like in Mexico these days? I am interested in checking out Merida. I have spent a fair amount of time visiting Guanajuato, Leon, QTO, PV, Mazatlan, Oaxaca. Love them all and could probably live happily in any one. But, places like Merida, Lake Chapala, Guadalajara are unknown to me.

Yeah, I am interested in 3 - 6 months in Thailand, once in a while. I'd like to return to Singapore for a month. But, Mexico and Portugal top my lists for residency visas and putting down roots.

Oh, you know what, I bet I was searching on United's site, because they are my frequent flyer airline. So I get Economy Plus upgrades, periodic First Class upgrades and free bags and airport club vouchers. So, I am just in the habit of searching them first, and I bet I was trapped in that!

Yeah, your Air Canada seach is cheap! Awesome information!
