Maybe for a job in high demand like in the food service industry where hiring is a quick process. Took me 2 months in my line of work, and I was trying hard as hell. Actually one of the companies I interviewed for within that first 2 months took an additional 2.5 months to finally get me an offer.

Its always hard to pinpoint this early. My initial guess is it will be like Imelda. Lots of rain, some inconvenience for most, some flooded houses and cars. No major city-wide severe flooding like a Harvey or Allison. No wind like Ike.

Honestly I think you'll be ok, but there's risk of flooding anywhere in Houston starting right around that time. I'd go for it instead of spending a couple extra days wherever you are now.

Twice a day is extreme overkill. In SE TX, you need about 1.5" a week for a decent lawn. I water twice a week, and it hasn't rained much since July. Green, lush lawn.

The clutches have friction material bonded to the steel part of the clutch discs. If you're getting that much metal from the clutch discs, the friction material is worn out and you're getting steel-on-steel. For me, I'd take it out and rebuild with soft parts if OP plans to keep it for quite some time.

The longer they go, the more steel will be sent through the trans, getting into solenoid valves and valve body. Nothing good will come from waiting. Get it rebuilt now before there is real damage.

And in case you're not American, its basically a self-funded and employment-funded pension. The more money you and your company put in, the more money you have in retirement. Social security is/was government sponsored pension, but that does not seem like it will be around in its current form in 30-40 years when younger Americans will be retiring.

A large portion of people have nowhere to put a trailer. I own a house now and there's no actual spot to put a trailer as we have an HOA that doesn't allow a trailer to be visible. And I'm not going to take up half of the garage for a trailer I use twice a year either. I can see the necessity of trucks for most people in the US. I don't own one by the way, and its kind of annoying.

They are mostly stock based so it fluctuates up and down with the stock market. But over a long period of time, the growth is higher than bonds, which are less risk.

I don't know enough to give you great advice. All I know is I contribute 14% and tell them to invest in the highest growth portfolio. There's higher risk but im almost to $200K at 37 years old. I think its going ok so far. Start young and invest as much as you can.

Thats insane. I've always heard the rule is the house should cost no more than 3 times your annual income. Make 50K, your house should be 150K.
