I'd assume that since the orcs aren't Ainur, Gandalf's hands were kind of tied in regards to how hard he could go beastmode on them. The Five Wizards were sent to aid the Free People's of Middle-Earth, not fight their battles for them. But since Balrogs are Ainur, the rest of the Fellowship is hella outmatched and it's a bit more reasonable for Gandalf to go ham.

As far as I can recall, Gandalf only shows his true power level when fighting other Ainur.

NTA, for anything here. Honestly the only criticism I have here is that you previously had your cat in your yard without a cat-proof fence (unless this was on a leash in which case no criticism at all), but I recently learned that indoor cats are very uncommon in the UK so even this one complaint is kind of a nit-pick. Also while I definitely think it's good for people to consider adopting rescues, the problem wouldn't go away just from people deciding to never get pure-bred cats so NTA on that count as well. I definitely get that, but as I understand it even Einstein pushed back on some parts of quantum physics because the randomness of it didn't sit right with him. I'm not saying everyone should throw it out just because I personally dislike something about it, but I definitely have some questions.

The whole "prank" thing is a bit of a distraction.

I know it's not a literal prank in that there's no intent, but if I lived in the world where double slit experiments resulted in electrons alternating between two locations that just so happened to always spell "Butt Soup" in binary, it would very much feel to me like the universe was playing a prank.

But why would it happen more than once? Just because that branch is the result of a very low probability outcome, it doesn't mean everything that happens in that world is low probability.

Just because it happened once in a given world doesn't mean it must continue happening in that given world, but if Many Worlds is true there MUST be a world for every outcome, including a world where the outcome is always exactly the same.

One of the worst parts about having low self-esteem is that it's easy to assume that everyone around you is mad about every single thing you do, and your imagination can get pretty creative at coming up with plausible scenarios where it makes sense that they would be mad. When that happens, it can feel like waking up from a nightmare when they say "It's kind of frustrating that you haven't taken the trash out yet" and you realize that the only problem was actually very minor and easy to handle.

NAH, my wife and I have a very similar situation. I'm very hyper-aware of having blinds open at night when it's super easy to see inside. My wife used to change clothes in front of our bedroom window in our old third-floor apartment, with two parking lots right behind the building outside the window. I mentioned to her that people could probably see inside, she was skeptical, but then the next time we left the apartment at night with the lights on I pointed out from the back parking lot how clearly you could see into the windows when it's dark out. Since then she'll occasionally decide she wants to shut the blinds if she's really close to the window, but overall I'd say she's still pretty laid-back with regards to the situation. I don't have any issues with it, but when we first moved into that old apartment I definitely wanted to make sure she knew people could see into the windows in case that was a concern for her.

I would say you aren't crazy, but this also isn't weird. I've definitely heard plenty of people say that they change with the blinds open (on the few occasions when the topic has come up), and while I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that myself it's definitely not uncommon. My advice is to just do what I do. If I'm going to be undressed in a room, I close the blinds. I also make the occasional joke about how my wife is "flashing the whole world" but not every person would find that funny so I can't say if that part would be a good idea in your situation.
