There's some significant differences between what you actually need to know vs what you're making - a 2D RPG won't need maths - just ask a mathematician for a damage formula if you need it, the rest (moving around a grid, story, etc) is nothing to do with math. If you're making a 3D archery game then yeah probably, for the physics.

Yeah, there's a template you can use just for APIs I believe. It'll give you controllers, models, etc without all the frontend stuff.

Yes, I loved the original. The new one is awful with the random upgrade cards. Half the time I'm mashing through trying to find a specific upgrade (buying any useful ones along the way of course) but often just end up losing before I even finish spending all my points, especially when it comes to the later stages where many enemies are onscreen at once. It feels like if you don't get attack speed/aoe upgrades, you're basically done for. If we could've used those exp you get at the end of each round to buy upgrades for the mechanici like in the original, it'd been absolutely fine!

I have a friend who's trying to get into dev and most of the roles seem to be asking them to solve algos, sadly. The best roles/companies by far have been those that don't do algos - instead, doing something like pair programming or take-home problems etc.

Perhaps Mean City? There's some variants like Learn English, Learn French, etc.

The game already had permadeath, the update didn't add it.

You could make your personal projects in Vue :)

In the very original game, there are no jobs. Jobs are used in the Zodiac version.

I agree that some of the achievements should be account-wise. It doesn't make sense for things related to collections which are already account-wise (like 100 items placed) as you say. The achievements like defeated X dolmen, master crafter etc should stay with the character.

Exactly - Horizon is one of my favorite games of all time, and most of the complaints here are entirely optional activities, and minimal in their scope. There aren't thousands or even tens of Tallnecks, and they all reveal quite a bit of the map. The rewards are very good for the time spent on them which is just a few minutes each. If you bore of these side activities, there is no need to do them. I did not collect the Bayek artifacts. The main story was very enjoyable for me.

Probably, say, Google on the search engine for example.

I would presume it to be high tax, they managed to rebuild Konoha relatively quickly after the whole war and everything.

Boros Reckoner?

I think Gatecrash was definitely a set better than Dragon's Maze.
