I'm an ERP software implementation project manager and financial consultant, my wife is a director at a CRM software implementation company. My salary and bonus are both 6 figures and my wife's salary is 6 figures. Aiming to retire by 40, if we want.

Now if we could just get friendly fire on Mei enabled, that would be great. Maybe she'll think again before blocking an ally Dva bomb with her infuriating ice wall.

Wait so we can't mandate masks because ThEre'S nO wAY To EnforCe ThAt .... but somehow this is enforceable (nevermind the ridiculous inhumanity and stupidity). Isn't this just going to make people want to vote absentee more, including their own base? Do Republicans not also need hydration? What a joke.

Do you know if there any model modern Frecciarossas out there? I've passively looked and cannot find any.

I think I'm having a similar issue. I have a couple modified turnouts and one unmodified electrofrog. I am planning on modifying the other one when my tortoises come in. Until then I left it unmodified just so I can run my trains without diverging that route. What baffles me... my trains ran just fine yesterday. Left them where I parked them, turned the track back on, and it immediately shorts. I'm beyond frustrated and confused. Nervous that modifying that turnout, while still necessary, won't fix my issue.

Quick update: I decided to get the Digitrrax Evox starter set, but I'm also going to hook it up to a raspberry pi to run JMRI and Engine Driver. Best of both worlds. I can certainly appreciate the tactile buttons and knobs while heads down looking at the operation at hand. Touch screens are cool, but maybe better for railfanning sessions.

Thanks for the input everyone!

Don't even get me started on gun disease. That's another health concern we Americans tend to ignore.

Thanks for pointing out SPROG... I definitely want something I can expand. I'm working on my first layout so not much need for amperage right now but who knows. So much to consider, its really hard to decide.

I'm also new, I got started in November. My only concern as you mentioned is expandability. Right now it isn't a factor but I want to make sure its something I can add to if necessary. Someone below mentioned SPROG, so I'm looking at that too. Seems similar in concept.

Thanks for the insight. If only I could get my hands on turnouts fast enough. I wonder if it makes sense to start some scenery in the middle of the layout that won't have any track work so I can have something to do while I wait for deliveries...

Thanks for this - it's given me some context to think about as I continue. I think that's where I'm stuck. I don't yet know if I don't like making trees because I've never done it. Same with buildings, mountains, water scenes, etc. This is my very first layout and maybe I need to be thinking less about a perfectly operating layout and more about getting enough experience to answer questions like you mentioned above. Also to melt ties and have make crappy trees. If I cannot answer those questions yet, my next layout may be disappointing. I should point out that I'm not completely unhappy with my current layout, I just have a hard time picturing operations in my mind.

I really only know that I like NS modern locos (I have a top-hat that makes it around my outer main line with no issues). The thought of trackside railfanning is appealing... but so is switching. Railfanning can get boring quickly IMO. I ran my train on my main line as soon as it was ready for about 5 laps and was ready to move onto the yard. I'm sure some of that has to do with only running an oval and no scenery.

I just ordered the book you mentioned, hopefully that will also shed some light.

As an aside - is it always this difficult to get parts/track? PECO turnouts seem to be out of stock everywhere, and I couldn't even get ground throws within 3 weeks if I tried.

Any chance you can share the brand of multivitamin? I've honestly never really read the labels. I just see over 100% of all the big hitters and assumed they're all the same. I'm learning I may be wrong.
